Craig always comes up trumps with a lovely blend of colours; each visit is different and each time is brilliant.
I don’t normally leave reviews but I’m disappointed in my service at this salon. I had booked for balayage with Lauryn for the first time & after a consultation I was advised that the blonde might not lift as light as I wanted it & it may end up orange…fine I understood that & went ahead with the service. Now the issues I have are nothing to do with the shade of blonde but with other things. Firstly my main reason for needing my hair done in the first place was for grey root coverage, something simple that any hairdresser should know really, at first glance they’re not showing on the hairline but once sectioned it’s clear all the grey underneath is all still visible so that’s highly disappointing. The root colour she used also is so red toned, I had initially asked not to make my roots too dark (as in don’t make them black when my hair is dark brown) but wasn’t advised at all that she’d be using a tone completely different to my natural colour that now completely contrasts with my blonde balayage. I have barely any light colour placed around the front of my face so to my it looks more ombre than balayage. However the most disappointing part of my service was the cut, I had asked for face framing layers & was left with what I can only describe is two blunt cuts either side of my face that I probably could have done better myself as a non hairdresser. There’s no style to them at all just a straight cut that looks ridiculous unless tucked behind my ears so needless to say I’m hoping they grow out fast. Not a great experience when your paying over £200 for an appointment so just beware of this if booking & advocate properly to avoid my experience.

I had my hair cut and coloured by Justyna and couldn’t be happier with the result! She’s a lovely, professional lady who made sure I felt comfortable and didn’t have any unanswered questions throughout the process. The colour is beautiful and the cut is exactly what I wanted. It’s such a shame I don’t live in Edinburgh—she’s now officially my favourite hairdresser! Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a top-notch experience.
Andrew is a very professional hairdresser and also a very nice guy. I love getting my haircut here as everyone is really nice. Andrew really understands my hair and I love the way my hair looks. Definitely recommend.
Very nice and friendly lady. Got my hair cut twice. Very good technique with my curly hair. Accommodating appointment scheduling, very understanding of my needs.
Pretty bad experience... I didn't feel like anyone really cared about me as a customer. I wasn't asked if I wanted a drink or asked if my hair was OK after my cut. I had intended having it thinned and some weight taken out which never happened, I had a student cutting my hair who seemed very nervous and disinterested, the management were not attentive either sitting on their phones. Bad customer service and atmosphere, needs alot of work.
I had not been here before but was staying in Edinburgh for my son's wedding and the salon was close to the hotel so I booked a wash and blow dry. Wow, I wish I lived nearer and it was my local. I'm just sorry I don't remember the name of the lovely lady who worked her magic. Thank you anyway! I had so many compliments and the style stayed in place all day. I was so well looked after too.
