   Completely dead inside, bartender (lady with dark hair) also didn’t respond to me when I said hello, just looked at me without even smiling. On top of this had clear issue that I was in with my boyfriend… refused to serve us because he had a provisional license instead of a full driving license? Think there was definitely some homophobic undertones. Quite sad in 2024 :/

   Women at the bar denied service to me on the policy that a provisional license was not acceptable identification despite being government mandated. Would be an explanation for how dead the place was considering being to drive or having a passport on you was the only way to get served. Was with my partner who was met with a similarly inhospitable attitude. Felt discriminatory in nature and I would strongly suggest avoiding.

   Didn’t accept a provisional driving licence as Identification. They said they only accepted passports or full driving licences which is not fair to anyone who doesn’t drive nor travels. The place was empty - would think you would be trying to get customers - not scare them away.

   My daughter and friends (boys and girls) have just turned 18 and have visited a few times and have said it’s a nice pub and handy to go to but it’s let down by the bar staff who are always rude and cheeky to them. They are not made to feel welcome at all but more of an inconvenience and that they should be grateful they’ve been allowed in! Always an issue with booths and they’ve booked each time but always told they haven’t. Speaking with experience of being older, I’ve said why would you go somewhere to spend your hard earned wages where you’re treated like that?! They’re valuable paying customers like everyone else and are respectful when they’re in for fear of being put out! Most young people in the area including them are going to Velvet now in Cambuslang and being treated much better.
