I visited Craig Davidson Hair Salon in Bruntsfield for the first time and had a really great experience. She listened carefully to what I wanted, explained everything clearly, and the final result was even better than I expected. The atmosphere was warm and professional from start to finish – I will definitely come back and happily recommend Ashley!
I had a wonderful experience with Layla. She was so lovely and very determined to get my hair looking exactly how I wanted. I am very happy with my face framing and bangs, and would definitely recommend Layla and Craig Davidson Hair, and hope to come again in the future.
First time here and it was the best haircut I've had for ages. Ashley also gave good advice on how to look after my hair + maintain the style. I'll definitely be coming back!
Natalia was amazing! I had a great time and was made to feel very welcome even in my hungover state - really made my day! All the women who work there were lovely, and I got so many compliments on my hair (and piercings) which made the whole atmosphere so enjoyable. Natalia clearly cared about my hair and what I wanted, asking for a second opinion when it was needed (but obviously what she had decided was completely correct) but it was highly appreciated as I have thin hair which had been coloured before so she wanted to keep it as healthy as possible while giving me what I wanted. Overall, I had a fantastic time and definitely intend to return to sit in Natalia's chair again.
Edit: Now Craig Davidson Hair is accusing me of being a liar and cutting the short haircut I hated even shorter? What an absolute joke of an establishment, AVOID. I have photographic evidence of my hair being the short from the picture I sent my partner 3 minutes after I left crying about how short it was. Horrible staff and horrible service. While the haircut isn't terrible, Ashley took A LOT more off of the length than I said I wanted and I am absolutely devastated. She also gave me a full fringe that I never wanted and I'm now left with a fringe I don't know how or have time to style, so it just looks terrible. I don't feel Ashley took the time to listen to what I wanted or how much I style my hair, it felt very rushed. I went in with very, very long hair and an outgrown curtain fringe. I showed her the length I wanted (marked by the blue line in the first pic to show the difference) and asked for the side fringe bits to be cut shorter. I left with shoulder length hair and a full fringe. I don't know why she thought it would be okay to cut it so short, she had asked if I wanted it this length and I explicitly said NO and showed her again the length I wanted, she even joked that I wasn't brave enough to cut so much off, but proceeded to cut it that short anyway? I am so devastated at the amount of hair she cut off, I didn't say when I was there because I was in shock holding back tears and trying to be polite but I will never go back to this hairdresser and will tell everyone I know to stay away. It is literally going to take years for my hair to grow to the length I told her I wanted and it is going to be such a pain to grow out this horrible block fringe I did not want. If you love your long hair, stay away from this establishment!

Great to be back in the salon for the first haircut of the New Year. Very happy as usual with Natalia’s professionalism and the result of her styling skills. It was also fun to catch up sharing our Christmas escapades!
I needed an emergency appointment as my own hairdresser let me down with 6 days to go until my own wedding… Always nervous to colour somewhere else but Demi was amazing! She gave me full highlights and they turned out so gorgeous that I had a little cry. This blonde is so perfect, I’ll never go anywhere else. Thanks Demi!
