Very impressed this morning as Matt gave me a hot cup to use to make my own drink. Come here every week and Scott and Jackson are also fab and Abby make the most delicious breakfast. The pub manager Shannon is very friendly and polite β€οΈ

Stopped by here last night for a catchup drink with a mate of mine. Never been here before now, but will definitely be back!! Its a brilliant place - the building itself is something else - felt like I was walking into a cinema/theatre, not a bar!! The interior definitely gets your attention - never been to a pub before where there is a section of theatre / cinema seating on display - with mannequins for good measure!! Great service - I must disagree with the comments on here about an "unfriendly service", my mate and I got chatting easily with the bar staff who served us. Good friendly atmosphere, and amazing prices too. Nearby parking available as well if needed. Like I say, I'll definitely be back here again.

Where to start, came in with family for a meal and must say disappointment was an understatement. Food was average, felt as though there was an uneasy atmosphere. Was in with my children which made me be constantly on alert as quite a few undesireables at front entrance which i know isn't the premises fault however letting people walk around talking to random tables and pestering them is their responsibilty, even when brought to the staffs attention nothing was done. Don't know if staff were scared of said gentleman but they do have an obligation to customers to feel safe and my wife and kids definately feel didnt feel safe and myself uneasy. Cannot say this is a wetherspoons we will return to again.

Must say the food was the best thing about this place, as a frequent user of wetherspoons i found myself visiting family near by and we popped in here for a bite to eat and unfortunately the food was the only adequate part of the visit but can you really mess up a burger?? I expected a saturday dinner time to be busy however it wasnt. Customer service was non-existant. Tables left dirty for a long time, staff either just standing about chatting or on their phones, no sense of anyone taking pride in their work or their place of employment. As i say i am a frequent customer to several wetherspoons but after this visit, this is one i will be avoiding in the future. Sad though because building is beautiful inside with throw backs to old picture house.

The John Fairweather, first wetherspoons I have gone to and this is my third time here, although the first time I also bought food along with alcohol, and as such I feel it does warrant a review so one can increase his review score because I like doing weird things This is a former theatre and the interior does remind you of that, there are audience "members" (mannequins) above where you'd seat and the whole building is very reminiscent of the early 20th century theatre style, reminding you that yes, you are the main character in your own story so you might as well keep the audience engaged Alright, so, now the food, I would talk about the service but they're honestly the best part of the whole place, friendly staff, pretty quick, fries took a while but it was fresh, and the tennants I got was a good enough price, I was a bit surprised at the fries portion I got (I think they mistook it for a small bowl of fries when I wanted to buy the standard bowl of fries), but honestly even with the vinegar (no salt at my table) it didn't really taste that overwhelming, it was just eh imo, I would've bought fish and chips but even with my spending expenses I can not justify Β£10 for fish and chips Overall, great service, interesting building interior, fries were just okay, y'know the jist

Lovely staff, nice vintage interior of an old cinema (might need a little touch here and there but has a climate of its own)... Good portions of food in a fair price. Unfortunately wheelchair user might find it really hard to get to the pub us there are only steps and could not find a lift. Another down fold is parking if you don't know the area you might find it harder to find a parking spot especially free of charge.

Great value for money. We were a larger group and able to move the seating around to suit ourselves which was appreciated. Food came quickly and the portion sizes were good.

Typical spoons offering usual value for money. Lovely building that used to be old cinema. Nice setting, also has a beer garden.

I always stop here for breakfast whenever heading to Glasgow. The place is a real gem. The decor is stunning! Well done JDWetherspoons for keeping the architectural integrity of this building just as John Fairweather originally intended when he designed the Savoy Cinema. Love the Scottish breakfast. Would definitely recommend!
