I ordered a chicken shawarma flatbread and the chicken wasn't shawarma chicken, it was cheap supermarket chicken straight out of a packet on a stale bit of flatbread with some salad and hot sauce chucked on it. I'm not a fussy eater and hate wasting food but I had a couple of bites and left it it was that bad. My wife ordered the bacon and blue cheese burger and it had the stingiest little slither of blue cheese on it, my daughter ordered the pizza and it looked like it came straight out of Iceland. Food took a good while to come as well. Genuinely the worst place for food I've ever been to. Seems a decent enough place to watch the football in though

Went for lunch on Monday 10th November…there was 16 of us! Russell and Zara looked after us all so well considering we arrived en masse! Nothing was a bother. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Thank you for putting up with us!

We have used this establishment on numerous occasinos over the past few years and always been satisfied with food and service. We visited tonight 14/10/25 , unfortunatly there seems to have been a change for the worse. I had to go to the bar and ask for menus and was told rather abruptly that they were on the table. I assured the lady that they were not. On getting our menus I ordered a Black and blue burger with bacon and blue cheese ,crispy onions and onion relish. I received two small patties a miniscule amount of blue cheese , no crispy onions or onion relish. I did receive some red onion a sliver of tomato and some barbacue sauce. I would have complained but my mrs told me nit to make a fuss. New staff and standards have fallen dramatically. Bloddy Shame.

Very good live sports pub with great food and drinks selections Big and roomy which is just as well as it can, being a sports pub, get a bit noisy and rowdy. Club colours are thankfully not permitted which is a good decision. Pub sits on the site of the once wonderful art deco Rio Cinema right on the edge of Rutherglen mains st north end. There are some great food and drinks specials daily. One drawback, they don't do breakfasts before early 12.30pm kick off games.

Bar service was good. Tables waited a while to be cleared. Food not great but edible. Distinctly average.

Need to do something about the heating hardly any radiators on, fire in sports side never on, no heating on landing to toilets then the heating in toilet has never been on. Would be more comfortable to sit and enjoy your drink, food if you were not sitting frozen. Latch on front door broken causing a draft doesn't help

Large booking, had to pick different things from the menu as they didn't have enough for 4 of the options. The gluten free meal wasn't good quality and came with non gf fries. Disappointed as we have been going there for years. Sadly it was too much hassle and we won't be returning. The reason give was that it had been school holidays but if that's the case then the food orders should be increased when the demand is high. Staff were very apologetic /slightly embarrassed, have no complaints in that area.

Excellent food and drink for the prices. I did get a flat pint but one of the bartenders made a new one without me even asking him. The staff are friendly and the app is pretty good too (which in Corona times is important). Considering how rough some of the pubs are around Rutherglen, they do well at keeping things civilized.
