Always a bustling, happy place to enter. The receptionists are delightful and Ian gives amazing haircuts making it appear effortless. I have short hair which many hairdressers find a challenge to cut well. Ian is exceptional and I always receive great compliments on my haircut. You leave Cheynes feeling great!
I've been to the salon twice now and had a cut by Ashleigh. It's been so nice to have a hairdresser listen to what I actually wanted and I've walked out feeling super happy. Everyone makes you feel welcome. I'll be back again soon x
Nicole gave me a great haircut and I felt I was in competent hands. She took the time to tell me what she was going to do as well as why, and answered all of my questions with patience. Service was excellent and I was in and out within 30 minutes
Amazing! I’ve been coming to Cheynes on Lothian Road and to hairdresser and Director Lisa since I was 21 in 2017. Every single time I get my hair cut, she has done an incredible job! Especially when I’ve not been sure of what I want. She never lies to me or tells me something will look good if it won’t and I always leave feeling really taken care of. The staff are so friendly and nice. I get a hot drink or Prosecco every time I go. Honestly, I will never change my hairdressers and that’s in large part due to the incredible staff with Lisa being a particular highlight.
Jamie was amazing. Had a wash and blow dry for a dinner I was attending that evening and not only did my hair look great but I had the most delightful time talking with Jamie. Great stylist and human being. Thanks again!
Massive shout out to the lovely people in this branch of Cheynes. I had a last minute invite to a charity ball and I called up with my begging boots on and they squeezed me in for a hair up. My hair was lovely and everyone was so friendly. Highly recommend it.
Absolutely awful! My hair is brassy and orange instead of blonde. I was rushed due to them closing. They asked for payment whilst I was still getting my hair done so I'd not even seen the finished result yet. I'm left with uneven hair colour, orange at the top of my fringe with white ends! I now have to pay somewhere else to fix this mess. I wasn't even asked if I liked it!
Highly recommend Jaime for hair cutting! Very talented, warm and friendly. Don't get the quality cut anywhere else in Edinburgh. Spends lots of time shaping my layers and does a fantastic fringe! Thankyou
