Ilyas is a really nice, genuine guy who gave me a great haircut for a really good price. Ideal for students looking for an affordable hairdresser with a lot of experience. Will be back soon!
Firstly, the haircut was good. However, the barber tried to purposefully overcharge me for the trim. If you don't ask customers if they want the additional service, you can't just provide it on a whim and then try and charge them for it, especially when that service is a basic standard in a normal barber shop for a basic trim. If you ignore him being pushy for trying to get more money out of you for a basic service, he can do a decent trim overall
Great haircut, best prices I’ve seen in the city so far, very efficient only took around 10-15 mins for a full hair cut. Asks questions throughout the cut to make sure you’re happy with it. Cant recommend this guy enough, deserves a lot more business, £12 student prices
Having been a customer of this barber for over 9 years I can absolutely guarantee that you will get excellent service at his barber shop. He has always be incredibly friendly and his hair cuts are the best in town. I felt compelled to write this when I saw the comments from a so called disgruntled customer (who spent all of 1 minute in this man’s shop). Utter nonsense is all I can say about his comments and I would say that this is the best barber here in the south side of Edinburgh.
Absolutely smooth sailing! After my previous barber moved away during the summer, I spent months finding a place with reasonable prices. There are barbers in this city costing 45 pounds for a simple haircut and head shave, even with student discounts applied. I'm grateful and thankful for this barber who did an absolutely phenomenal job. He's honest and doesn't shoot up the prices or price fix for simple services. I came in 9:25 AM this morning and found him opening his shop right before time to open came in. I asked him for a brief head shave and just like that he got it done exquisitely in under 3 minutes just the way I wanted. No complications or in-depth explanations. All for a mere 14 GBP. Definitely going to be my go-to barber shop from now on! Thank you very much Sir.
My favorite barber in Edinburgh!! Been coming here for a while now and must say I always get the best, fastest, and cheapest haircuts I’ve ever gotten in this country. Nice to go a traditional barber that really knows his business. Definitely recommend!!!

Friendly guy, but he stopped cutting my hair to explain the current situation in Turkey whilst doing the sides and they ended up uneven. I didn’t want to take very much off the top so he said he will show me first, but when he got around to the top he didn’t check with me and cut half of it off. Student deal £14 includes an authentic blade shave. He perhaps deserves more than 1 star, nice guy and decent price, but I was quite displeased with my haircut which is what matters most.
