   Car engine light came on after AdBlue top up. Needed car to drive back to Glasgow to London. They prioritised my car and cleared the faulty codes in under an hour, for £37. Mobile mechanic company quoted £395 for call out. Got the guys a tub of sweets to show my appreciation

   Swung by Halfords on Crow Road this morning due to an issue with a jammed open window on a relative's car I was driving. Couldn't get the window fixed there and then but one of the guys taped it for me as a temporary measure. Great service and very helpful.

   Car was booked in for an MOT, drop off time 8:20 for a 8:30 am time slot. Received a call from garage one hour later - MOT had been completed and advice was given on a recommendation. Was able to collect my car from 9:30 am. I took my car here after years of going elsewhere, off the back of a good experience when I had dropped in for advice about my tyres. Super friendly and helpful staff. Online MOT booking was straightforward. Highly recommend.

   Came in for an interim service. Was helped early in the morning by Subhor who took my car. Later I picked in up from Lucas who was very helpful in explaining the issues with my car. Did not feel pressured into any upselling and was happy with the service. Sent my car in at 8:30am on a weekend morning and got it back at 2:30pm or so. Small parking space available at the shop itself so once the cars are done they are parked on the street outside. Booking can be done online for the services.

   Only came in to get my handbrake fixed and they insisted I needed my rear brakes cleaned (~£80) even though I had them cleaned barely a month prior. Handbrake is loose again a few months later.

   Got four new tyres put on the car. Not only were they the cheapest anywhere, the staff are great. The chap in reception was professional and courteous, and you could tell that the tyre fitter guy knew what he was talking about, was actually passionate about making sure the work was done properly and gave me advice on keeping my tyres at the right inflation the future. I’ll be back next time I need work done. Great stuff.

   One star is generous. I got my car back from them after a slow puncture fix. When I drove to work on the Monday it was making an awful helicopter like sound. I took it back and explained this to them where they ran a diagnostics check. The check was cleared and when I asked if the noise was fixed they responded "Oh your car is making a noise?". There was then no effort or offer to take another look at the car while I paid the £50 for the diagnostic check. Will never go back. Save your car, take it somewhere else

   DO NOT USE. Went in for an MOT on a car that had been serviced very recently only to be told that the car had tonnes of faults both minor and major. Since they’d already put this in the system I now didn’t have insurance to drive the car out. When I went to pick the car up there was only one person in the main office, telling me the 2010 polo I had was completely not driveable and that he’d buy it from me for £200 but had to “think about it”. At this point 4 more workers had packed in the office pretending to work but not realising I could tell they were there just to see if I’d give in and sell the car. Initial quote to fix was around £2000. I took the car to another garage and they fixed everything for £630. I feel bad for anyone who goes in and gets scammed because this is the unfortunate truth with many mechanics who think they can scam a person without knowledge on cars- just didn’t expect it from a Halfords. Go somewhere else.

   Gentleman called Suboor was very helpful. I was seen the same day and all work was completed before 5pm. I also was shown all the used parts which had wear and tear. Very professional service and I am taking my wifes car here due to the high standard of service we received.
