Make sure you check if the tide is in or out, depending on what you are after. Nice quiet beach for children to dig and get filthy and wet if the tide is out. Tide pools to explore in the rocks. Dog walkers and a few sunbathers using it at the same time. Limited parking and not wheels accessible.

The beach is easily accessed and a pleasant walk towards west Kirby but the quality of the sand depends on the weather / tides. There is often sand in a strip along the sea defences but usually it overlays mud & silt which makes up the rest of the beach when the tide is out. Typical estuary conditions & muddy water unfortunately - swimming only for the brave! Still nice though and excellent dog walks when the tide allows from west Kirby to Thurstaston and beyond. Magnificent sunrises / sunsets if you time it right.

A short drive from West Kirby, Caldy beach is a hidden beauty spot. This beach is a must, great views, quiet, clean and amazing. parking is limited, also check tide times, I would recommend going 1.5 hours after high tide.

I recently visited Caldy beach with my son, and we were blown away by how wonderful the experience was. First of all, the beach was very easy to access, thanks to the steps leading down to the sand. This made it a breeze to get everyone and everything down to the beach without any issues. The small parking area was also a plus, as it meant that the beach wasn't too crowded, which made it a more peaceful. But what really stood out about Caldy beach was the stunning scenery. The views were absolutely gorgeous, with the tide just going out, revealing the most amazing tide pools and wet sand. The landscape was breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for a leisurely walk. Speaking of dogs, the beach looks like a great spot for dogs to run and play in the open space. Overall, I would highly recommend Caldy beach to anyone looking for a scenic location for a family outing or a peaceful walk with their dog. With its accessibility, stunning scenery, and open space, it's a perfect spot for everyone to enjoy."

A lovely beach for a walk, plenty of dog walkers and ideal in the summer for kids to have a play! Easy to find somewhere nearby to park and not too far from West Kirby town centre.

Really nice walk along the beach. Can walk all the way to Hilbre Island with ease. Clean and flat.

Great for building sandcastles - just right- picnics, pool dipping and walking. But take care beyond tide line as it can get muddy. Parking for about six cars but we found a space on a summers morning.
