   I hate self service checkouts. Ergonomically they are a very bad design which hurts my back and arms. For this reason, I now only buy a small basket of items from Aldi. Previously, when Aldi had staffed checkouts, I would regularly buy a trolley load. Thankfully the nearby Lidl does not have self service checkouts so I buy my larger shops from there.

   Great selection and quality. But for me the staff stand out! All friendly but today a really lovely young man stopped me and advised me I had my handbag in my trolley and hadn't even noticed he had moved it to get into a fridge. He gave me good advice about keeping safe instore and I moved my bag and will definitely be more careful in future. Really appreciated such great service !!
