   This morning, around 7:10 AM, I visited the Margiotta shop in Shandon. I used to go there daily for a takeaway croissant or pastry, and their 7 AM opening was convenient. Since moving to a bigger location nearby, the shop looks great, but the staff’s attitude has kept me away. Hoping for a better experience, I stopped by today. As I went to pay, a staff member near the till was sweeping at an agonizingly slow pace. When she processed my purchase, she looked completely miserable. Worse, a man who seemed to be a supervisor came to the till, gave me a look as if to say, Why are you even here?, and didn’t bother to greet me. For such a well-stocked shop, the poor customer service ruins the experience.

   Popular small chain of shops across Edinburgh, this branch usually has good selection of nice beers and wines, bakery section (some yummy flavoured croissants!) as well as usual day to day necessities like milk, veg, chilled foods etc, open late

   Stock grossly overpriced, and most products priced higher at the checkout than displayed on the shelf. Staff, lacking, slow and ignorant. Often long queues where replenishment staff will ask you to move out off their way at the checkout.

   We always go here, local shop on our doorstep, you get a great range of wine, beer and snacks but if you want something else, its got that as well. Our favourite shop in the area!

   Friendly staff, good selection of products. Quite pricey, but to be expected from a convenience store. They offer a 10% student discount which helps bring the cost down. Try their £1 gnocchi, it's great!
