Wanted to say a massive thank you to the team at this store, and in particular two Corstorphine employees - Sophie and Jack - who helped us when our car battery died in the car park. The store didnโ€™t have any jump leads for sale, but the manager (apologies, didnโ€™t catch his name!) went above and beyond by checking stock in the back and, when that failed, asked his colleagues if anyone could help. Two employees took time out of their shift to help us get our car up and running. They went out of their way to give us a hand when we needed it. Super friendly team who didnโ€™t complain at all and gave us all a laugh whilst we were stuck. The click and collect team also waited longer whilst we had the issue sorted. Huge thanks to everyone.

Shopping, often viewed as a chore, transforms into a genuinely enjoyable experience when the destination is Tesco Extra. These hypermarkets are not merely places to purchase groceries; they are comprehensive, welcoming environments that cater to every imaginable need, making the weekly shop feel less like an obligation and more like a satisfying excursion. โ€‹The primary appeal of the Tesco Extra format lies in its vast scale and unparalleled variety. Unlike smaller convenience stores, the Extra branch offers a sweeping panorama of products. The sheer range of departments, from expansive food halls to dedicated sections for clothing (F&F), electronics, homeware, and even garden supplies, embodies the ideal of "one-stop shopping." This convenience is invaluable, saving time and the hassle of multiple trips. Whether I need my regular groceries, a new outfit, or even a replacement lightbulb, I know I'll find it all under one cavernous roof. โ€‹Beyond the extensive product selection, the in-store experience at Tesco Extra is carefully curated for customer satisfaction. The wide aisles and thoughtful layout prevent the feeling of being cramped, even on busy days. Furthermore, the inclusion of numerous specialist services adds significant value. Many Extras feature a pharmacy, opticians, a Tesco Mobile shop, and even in-store cafes like Costa Coffee, allowing me to combine essential errands and a quick break seamlessly. The availability of Click+Collect points and the option for Scan as you Shop further demonstrate a commitment to modern, convenient retailing, allowing me to tailor my experience to my schedule and preferences. โ€‹Crucially, the Tesco Clubcard system enhances the value proposition immensely. The Clubcard prices offer substantial discounts on a huge range of products, making premium and branded items more accessible. Earning points and using vouchers for triple-value rewards with partners reinforces a sense of loyalty and tangible savings. This smart approach to value, combined with the assurance of the Freshness Guarantee on produce, ensures that a commitment to quality doesn't come at the expense of the budget. In short, shopping at Tesco Extra feels like engaging with a retailer that genuinely tries to serve its customers better every dayโ€”a true shopper's paradise that simplifies and enriches the experience. โ€‹This video provides a tour of a Tesco Extra store, highlighting the massive selection of goods available in this large supermark

Worst supermarket in Edinburgh. Not only do they frequently close early and many staff are very rude for no apparent reason (probably stress). Reductions are also non existent. Prices high and fresh produce usually really bad. Iโ€™d like to add to the comments about security guards. I was with my wife looking for a gift for a family member, we didnโ€™t find what we were looking for and so tried to leave when a security guard waltzed over hands tucked into his security vest and commanded we stop. I said we did not buy anything and he in broken English said you cannot leave. I once again said but we didnโ€™t buy anything you can check my bag (it was empty!) but like a broken automaton he kept repeating we cannot leave only he got more angry and confrontational as he said it. And I said - so we have to buy something? To which he said yes - you must buy to leave - cannot leave here. And rather than cause a confrontation we bought some shopping and left, and have not been back since. The only person I would like to separate from this was the girl on the sushi bar - she was nice.

Was in here on Saturday, very large well staffed store with well-stocked shelves. Young girl on Saturday behind the customer services desk was very polite and helpful, layout of store is confusing and is certainly unique compared to the design of other Extra stores; which tend to follow the same linear format. This store stands out, and has an F&F section and a Costa Coffee cafe upstairs, with the downstairs devoted to the general grocery shop floor. Found quite a few bargains and my girlfriend left a happy and skint woman. A bit far out for me to come regularly, but I will still make the effort and gladly return to this shop.

I'm happy with the amount of stock this place has. The only reason we shop here at Tesco is the availability of my daughter's disabled nappies. Nowhere else do they sell Tesco's own junior plus nappies, and they're in high demand among disabled kids' families.

Semi regular customer here as a tradesman. My colleague and I were a bit put out that they have completely removed the hot deli and replaced it with a cold sushi deli. This is not inviting for workmen working outside in winter...

Quite tidy shop but they were selling meat and other products out of date and whenever it was pointed out (on several ocassions) they just couldn't be bothered taking it off the shelf so someone else wouldn't get poisoned. Since then I check everything before putting in the basket. Prices are a little bit dear and they still are going up. Online delivery always will try to feed you with something barely acceptable in terms of expiry date, till tomorrow sometimes. I'm glad I moved to another region so I won't be shopping here anymore.
