   Online opening hours are wrong. I've seen a trail of people showing up for the supposed 9am opening. To the far left of the shop doors is says opening at 09.30am. also watched a lot of unhappy people then walk off. Not fun waiting when it's hammering it down with rain outside.

   Lots of stock and helpful staff. Just make sure that what you buy fits and you like it otherwise, if you decide to return it, you will only receive a credit note. There is a sign on the till but it's nearly noticeable. Don't get caught out like I did.

   Utterly disgraced by the “customer service” of whoever was management on the evening of Friday 26th September 2025. Tried to go in and do a straight swap of shoes that were purchased online. Bought them in an 8.5 and they turned up and were a 7.5?! Someone clearly did a crap job when looking at my order. Pure laziness. When I tried to return them, the manager was completely disrespectful and turned his nose up saying this wasn’t possible and I have to pay to get them swapped. Utterly disgusting customer service and I hope this is arisen to more senior management. Earlier today went into the Crawley store and they were more than happy to do the swap and were extremely helpful. So why do the exact same stores in different locations give you two completely different response? Sickening and will NEVER be returning to the Guildford store. Sort your management out.

   This store, located in Guildford zone 2, is truly a discovery! It has a large parking lot right in front of the entrance, which makes access very convenient. Inside, the care of the spaces is manic: everything is tidy and well organised. The clothing offer is very varied, with a rich selection of sportswear for men, women and children, as well as many other items that make the store particularly attractive. In addition, there is no shortage of really convenient offers and promotions. A high quality point of sale, definitely to try.

   Poor customer service,no real help at all Visited Sport Direct in Guildford looking for MMA equipment. Downstairs, one staff member completely ignored me, I asked about MMA stuff, he didn’t even look at me and just waved his hand and said “upstairs.” Upstairs, I asked a girl and a guy. The girl kept saying “I think... maybe...” and didn’t seem sure about anything. The guy didn’t even speak, just shook his head and said “no” without any effort to actually help. Honestly, it felt like none of the staff cared. Won’t be coming back.

   Went in today to pick up some new gym gear, they have nothing like the selection they used to have in the old location up the road. Anyway, I went to try on a sports bra and it was attached by plastic holders that you would have to break to try it on. I decided to buy it and take it home to try on (and return it if it didn’t fit) but I overheard a conversation, just as I paid, with a women next to me discussing returns so I asked the server how it works if I wish to return it if it doesn’t fit. She proceeds to tell me that I can return it for store credit or a store voucher!? What on earth, so I can’t try it on because they’ve made it impossible to do so without breaking the seal and then to top it off if I want to return it I can only do so by having to find something else I want to spend £20 on in store. I obviously said I don’t want it just in case it doesn’t fit and they refunded the money straight back on to my card, but why couldn’t they do that if I had left the store with the item and came back later? At least then there was a chance of an actual sale if the item did fit. Really ridiculous return policy and I won’t be using them again.

   Went to return a pair of Adidas astro turf boots that had been bought for my brother for Christmas, but unfortunately didn't fit him. I had the shoes, the receipt, the labels and the box which didn't have a cover (this had been disposed of by the cashier when purchased as it was ripped). The manageress was incredibly condescending and took pleasure in refusing a refund, exchange or a credit note, all due to there being no lid on the box which they themselves threw away. Incredible!!! Apparently, it's all my fault for accepting the damaged box and this is allegedly in their Ts & Cs, which it isn't. When I said that this should have been pointed out to me, she replied that they are not obliged to say anything. Over the years, I have been a valuable customer and even bought football kits for whole football teams etc, etc. Will I purchase from Sports Direct in the future? Of course NOT!!! I feel soooo cheated! Absolutely outrageous customer service. As an employer myself, I think I would have given the manageress a written warning for her rude, ignorant behaviour.

   Very rude staff, even their pretend manager did not listen to the customer. Not helpful in the slightest. Careful of the companies policies when buying something as 'not fit for purpose' is not eligible for refund apparently although statutory rights deems otherwise! For such a big company to not look at the bigger picture for the sake of £11 to appease a customer! Tells me a lot about this company.
