I happen to know that Morrisons is not always the best at treating its staff well - and that’s a major shame because Morrisons are a highlight of the Gyle Centre and it’s the staff that make it that way. To begin with the Security guards - I’ve met four so far and they are all friendly and happy to help - contrast this to Tesco and you can see why I’m starting with security. As you walk into the shop staff bustle around at pace, filling online orders but also adopting a helpful open presence which allows you to ask any questions you might have. It’s clear who the team leaders are and they bring a sense of calmness to the shop floor. The shop itself has a good range of options, a hot counter where you can buy chicken along with wedgies, chips sausages and other tasty bits and pieces. Then there’s the salad counter which offers reasonably priced salads which are packed! Then there’s the deli counter where you can buy cheeses, noodle pots, along side local favourites like scotch eggs and pork pies accompanied by cuisine like pakoras and samosas which I definitely recommend! And the bakery and fish market - the first pumping out more bread and sweet treat types than you can name, and the second always having a super knowledgeable staff member for all things fish! It wouldn’t be Morrisons without its reductions though and most days around 6PM you can find all kinds of treats and snacks - (or even full meals!) at 1/2 price. The staff shine the most in the checkout section though as they go above and beyond for the customer - constantly on the ball all day and still able to build a rapport with so many different people which turns a ‘Supermarket into a local.’ The only negative as recently noted is the toilets - given my review of M&S my suggestion would be to relieve yourself there but shop here ;)

I had a fantastic experience at Morrisons recently – the breakfast was absolutely delicious and freshly prepared. Everything was hot, well-cooked, and served promptly. The café was clean and comfortable, with a welcoming atmosphere that made the visit even more enjoyable. What really stood out to me was the staff – every single person I interacted with was kind, polite, and genuinely helpful. It’s clear they care about their customers and take pride in providing great service. It’s always nice to start your day with good food and friendly faces, and that’s exactly what you get here. Highly recommend stopping by for breakfast if you’re in the area!

You will find some interesting ethnic food there. Clothes and home goods are also a bonus which is cool. The price seems more expensive than other stores. Like wholefoods.

I'm not a big fan of any supermarket. However, this one was bright and airy with lots of selections on display. Would I go there again? Yes, if in the Centre, but that isn't often.

Only ever have just one person at the lottery counter and theres always a long queue. Help your staff out a little. Too much amazon/staff shoppers and getting in the way, esp with cages of stock in the aisles. Plan your day better

Very big super market. A lot of product varieties of all kinds. You get almost everything you need from here. Groceries, fish, bakery items all are very fresh. You get good discounts as well. They also have good range of items in clothes as well.

I find our local morrisons to be about the second best large store around here, especially there fresh veg although the prices have been notably higher than lidl. The store is well stocked, staff are helpful which is good and the meat counter is 1st class. Gets a 4 out of 5 from me.

Great range of offers across the store. This is one of the larger Morrison's, so they do stock a wider range of items that are sometimes absent from smaller stores. Remember to get your free Morrison loyalty card and collect your points, as it quickly adds up and you'll get £5 vouchers as well as other points offers.
