Clean and tidy with large variations of produces. Smiley staff at self-service. I have to highlight the toilet here was the most pleasant one among all the Tesco I’ve visited.

This has always been my favourite supermarket, but my recent experiences have been quite frustrating. The ongoing renovations seem to be taking forever, and every visit feels like a challenge. Products are constantly being moved around, making it difficult to find anything, and the selection seems more limited during the revamp. It’s become so inconvenient that I’ve started shopping elsewhere and, honestly, I don’t see myself coming back anytime soon. :(

Excellent customer service at a recent visit. As a visitor to Linlithgow I popped into Tesco to purchase some Aberdeen Butteries to take back to England. The shelf was empty so I asked a member of staff, Elaine went above and beyond to source some for me by looking on her device, then she called Alex. Alex checked the freezers, and there were some there ready to bake in the morning, I said I would pop in. The next morning early, I called in and on checking the shelf it was empty, I asked a lady in the bakery area if they had been baked and she asked if I was the lady from last night as she had saved them for me. So a big shout out to Elaine, Alex and the lady in the bakery on 31st August. Thank you I have just enjoyed my morning coffee and yet another buttery!

I moved to Linlithgow from Edinburgh a couple of years ago where I used to stay next to big retail park with 3 supermarkets nearby so I was initially anxious all things I need may not be within a walking distance in this town but it turned out this Tesco I stay close to despite its compact size is a great store. The isles are usually well stocked and staff are always polite. They even have a decent international food section which is a big advantage for me. One thing I dislike about this shop is there are too little self check outs. If one or two of them break down the waiting time to pay for groceries becomes unacceptable. There is a big empty space between self check outs and ordinary tills that remains unused. You could easily fit additional 6 check out machines there so I do really wonder why no one from the management team has come up with this idea yet.

I'm not one for posting this kind of thing... But I'm absolutely disgusted and livid with the management in Tesco Linlithgow. We were in doing a shop when my four year old daughter was bursting for the toilet. I hadn't been in Tesco in a while so I didn't realise the toilets are only open at certain times due to vandalism. I asked one of the staff members if it would be possible for my daughter to use the toilets quick as she was desperate and literally dancing on the spot and they refused saying they would only let her use it if she was disabled. Safe to say I definitely won't be shopping there ever again!

Poorly organised, with products seemingly out of stock but then appearing elsewhere in totally illogical locations.

Generally quiet so a good chance of getting served by a cashier rather than doing it self scan.
