I'm so used to supermarket wines and prices that I felt slightly out of my depth in here! Not a huge choice but it was quality and 5 bottles later I'm skipping out the shop. The customer assistant had a good knowledge of wines and even recommended a couple. I've not been disappointed yet!

went in and the guy came up to me and asked if i needed help, had a discussion about what was the best wine for me because I was on a budget. Made life easier for me so thank you! would go again to buy wine, lovely staff and great selection. very limited on lager selection, mainly craft beer so if you don't like that sort of thing not the best place for you but if you are a wine lover then yes

It's the cornerstone of the neighbourhood! I have been buying wine from Oddbins in Bruntsfield for so many years I've lost count. It's a brilliant shop! The staff are super friendly and their expert advice is unbeatable. The wine selection (and beer) is top notch. I honestly do not know what I would do if Oddbins left... move, probably. Hooray for Oddbins!!

They were very nice and very good at suggesting wines based on our descriptions of our preferences. There also happened to be a wine on offer to taste when I was there with my friend which helped indicate the quality of the wine there- it was quite good. Bottles here are not inexpensive so perhaps more suited to you if you've budgeted around £20+ or want something special for a party.

Great place to buy wine. The selection is ever-changing and extensive, and if Mike is on hand to help you pick something out, his knowledge, enthusiasm and helpfulness can't be faulted - he'll help you get what you're after. They also do a fine line in craft beer. Their spirits selection is serviceable but by no means enormous, but that's not really their selling point - this is a store for oenophiles. They frequently host free tastings, have special offers via email, and there are inexpensive options if you're skint (as well as some top end varietals I've never touched). Although staff are knowledgable there's none of that intimidating snobbishness you can so often get from wine enthusiasts - you won't get derision if you're an ignorant neophyte. They're also very open to people bringing babies and dogs in as they peruse. It's always a pleasure to pop in and you'll always end up with an interesting drop to take home.

Great little wine shop with lovely staff. Was served by Terri who helped match wine for my dinner party and it was a great suggestion, everyone commented how good it was. Really nice to know you are going to get good advice and end up with a great wine. Plus they also help out with your whisky, cocktail and suggestions for drinking holes nearby!
