I visited the Decathlon store on Friday 5 December at around 11.26am. I was served by Igor, Mohaimin, and Aiswarya, and the service was exceptional. I needed something to raise my camp bed off the floor, and they took the time to show me every option available. Igor’s advice in particular was excellent. He found an item that would lift the mattress above the bed, inflated it to show me exactly how it worked, and explained each step clearly. All three staff members went well beyond what was required, and their helpfulness made the shopping experience outstanding. I was so impressed that I purchased £80 worth of items. They are a credit to the store, and I wanted to commend them for their professionalism and kindness.
Went for a free bike check up yesterday. I had a bolt missing from my suspension. The man fixed it in under 5 minutes. He explained what the parts did and showed me the variations on other bikes in the shop. Didn't charge me a thing. Amazing service!!!
We bought two bikes from this store and were served by Matt from Bike workshop. From start to finish, he was extremely helpful and approachable. He took the time to answer all our questions with patience and clarity, never rushing us, even though it was at the end of his working day. His friendly smile and positive attitude made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism with such genuine kindness. We truly appreciate his excellent service.
I recently visited Decathlon in Chingford, and it’s hands down one of the best sports stores I’ve experienced! The location is super convenient, with ample parking and easy access. Stepping inside, I was blown away by the sheer variety of gear—whether you’re into cycling, running, yoga, camping, or team sports, they’ve got everything. From beginner-friendly equipment to professional-grade gear, there’s something for every level and budget.

Originally I was served by Paola who was great and informative. Then I was looked after by Tez who was always quick to respond and full of knowledge. Finally, Paco set the bike up to my requirements and his knowledge is phenomenal. I just completed the check up service and again Paco’s expertise shone through. I recommend the team here so highly. Honestly, their customer service is so good you forget that you’re not in an independent.
Firstly I want to apologise for taking so long to write this review. 10/10 for Jade who I was fortunate enough to have as my customer advisor when I visited the store with my daughter in the summer. We were looking for a tennis racket and Jade was exceptional in assisting us and eventually helping us to choose a racket that was right for my daughter. Jade was also very kind in helping us choose some tennis shorts which were on sale and made sure she took care of every detail right up to when we got to the tills and left the store. Jade had an amazing personality, she was happy and positive, hardworking and incredibly kind to us. Her knowledge and professionalism was second to none. We appreciated her help and enjoyed her company while we were at the store. One of those rare employees that deserve special recognition and credit for being a loyal brand ambassador. Great !! Customer service after visiting Halfords I understand, decathlon 100% better than Halfords. They have huge selection of bikes / accessories/ skateboards etc. It's located in two levels. You can select the bike and they will do free safety check within 1 hour whereas Halfords it's a nightmare, they don't have anyone on site to fix the bikes and poor customer service. Best service ever had and selection/ quality of bikes are great.
