I was kindly and patiently assisted by Amir, who works in Sports Direct in Newbury Park. Despite me asking many questions regarding finding the right pair of shoes for my son and my sister, Amir was very professional and patient. I had a positive customer service experience here today!
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff when looking for boots with arch support. Having just been in the competitor sports shop next door and had no help whats so ever i found the staff at sports direct very helpful. A young lad downstairs and an older man upstairs helped us make the perfect purchase.
I purchased a Carlton 4 played set from your Newbury Park branch at exactly 13:15 on the 1st June 2022. I was planning to go to the park with the kids and have a fun time playing badminton with this but we set everything up but the metal poles were not adequate to use on the grass as it was impossible to get them stable and hold the net tightly. You had to dig very deep to get the poles in would not hold the net firmly we were very disappointed because we had to repack everything and instead find to play football. And once finished at the park I went back to the shop at 19:50 to return the item and get a refund as the kit did not function how it is supposed to and I could not use it. Everything was in its original packaging the rackets still had all their plastic packaging and everything was as new, but the staff there were in such a hurry to close the shop they were very very rude and did not want to listen at all and kept rejecting my return request even though the item is still new and everything was in orginal packaging. The store manager of the Newbury Park branch was very very rude and just wanted to close the shop.I would like to return this item and get a full refund please and make a complaint against the Newbury Park Sports Direct shop for very rude customer service and breaching my rights "Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods should be of a satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. My rights have been breached because the item you sold me is not fit for purpose. Can you please let me return your item and give me a full refund please, I will for sure never step a foot into that shop ever again and you have lost a very loyal customer who has been shopping with you for over ten years.
Newbury Park Sportsdirect is full of lazy staff that can’t be bothered to do anything. When I went in the other day I was looking for some asics trainers and couldn’t see them so I asked a member of staff who in a passive aggressive and slightly condescending manner said ‘you won’t find asics here they’re running shoes’. So I said could you find me a 9 in the 3 pairs I had picked up from the casual sports shoes section and he looked put out and then suggested I just try the asics ones instead. I then found 2 pairs of asics that I liked the look of and asked if he could get me 9s in the 3 casual pairs and the 2 asics pairs to which he said ‘I can only get 3 pairs at a time so I’ll get you the 2 asics’. He then brought them over and stood aggressively over me as u tried them on and also seemed quite disinterested like he just wanted me gone and over and done with so he could get a quick sale with minimum effort. He was then called away and never came back. So I went to find him and gave him the pair of ASICS I wanted and he said he’d put them behind the counter. A few minutes later I went back to him and said can I have my shoes and he said I put them by the counter! I’d forgotten he said that so I went off to the counter and the lady there she didn’t have anything there. She had to call him which took ages and after a few minutes he came to the counter with the shoes. The shoes he claimed twice he had put behind the counter. Terrible experience. None of them can be bothered. If I could score this a zero I would.
The sole of my Gelert walking shoes, purchased from Sports Direct in Newbury Park came away while I was on a hike. As shoes barely six months old, and obviously faulty, I returned to store to ask for a replacement pair. The member of staff was incredibly rude and showed no sympathy when I said the faulty shoes were dangerous. He told me to contact Sports Direct's customer services by email. They eventually replied saying as shoes not purchased online I needed to take them back to the store. Can I face having another visit to the store when it will be a waste of my time? Sports Direct has now lost future visits from me
Terrible service...non existence. If I could give this a zero star I would. Hardley any customers in the shop on a midday on Monday. No-one around to help. When you find someone they have an attitude and then dissappear. I wonder how much business this store loses because of the useless staff hired to run the place. Real shame. Will take my business from now on.
VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE THIER IS NOBODY. YOU CAN ASK FOR HELP AND IF YOU FIND ONE THEY PREFFER TO CHAT WITH THIER OWN STAFF TOTALLY IGNORING A CUSTOMER POOR COMMUNICATION AS WELL YOU CAN ANY CONVERSTATION WITH STAFF SO WE LEFT THE STORE TO JD THE STORE IS DIRTY AS WELL NOT A COMFORTABLE PLACE TO SHOP EITHER I WAS SERVED BY THIS RUDE EASTERN EUROPEAN BAD TEMPER WOMEN THEY FORGOT UK WE STILL HAVE MANNERS TO FOLLOW SHE THOUGHT SHE IS STILL WHERE SHE CAME FROM
Rude, surly, bad tempered and unhelpful staff, more concerned with chatting with each other than dealing with customers. Won't be back!
Went there as Ilford branch didn’t have the shoe/trainer I was looking for and they checked to see which branch had the shoe/trainer unfortunately it was this branch. When I got there the I asked a member of staff near the entrance that I am looking for a shoe/trainer he pointed out where to look and that there is staff allocated in that area. I went over and found the staff for the shoe/trainer section asked him that Ilford branch said that the shoe/trainer I am looking for there is one available at this store showed him the picture and name of it on my phone. He seemed he didn’t know and He didn’t even check the system and said it’s out of stock and that I should look at the display section. I then found a few other types of shoe/trainers again asked him to check if they have the size I am looking for he, he went away to look. While he was gone I was looking around and found the shoe/trainer I first was asking about it was on the shelf displayed on top of 4 boxes of different sizes of that shoe/trainer. I found the size I wanted. Also found another one he said they didn’t have too. The both staff i spoke to seemed like they didn’t want to help or be there at work, no smile not friendly. Also lack of product and stock knowledge. The store lighting was very dark and gloomy and with the staff attitude made it a depressing store that you don’t want to go to. The till staff were ok but again they didn’t seem happy or friendly. What happened to all the good old day when you use to get the right staff friendly and helpful. Only good thing about this store is that is has a good range and stock and the parking it’s free and also you got Sainsbury’s and B&M. I would recommend Ilford branch more bright, friendly and helpful or order online. It’s sad to see that business get away with this, they should monitor what’s going on in their store. Looking at all the other reviews, that this is only going to useful for other customers as it seems like that the owners of this business don’t look at their customers review as their is no reply’s to these reviews, it’s a shame they could learn so much from this and improve their business and store.
Would give 0 stars if I could. The staff behind the tills in here are unbelievable - absolutely no manners whatsoever. Genuinely felt like I wasn’t allowed to buy something! Shop elsewhere if you can - it’s a shame as this particular location has a good wide range of items.
