Highly recommend this shop. Lou is knowledgable, patient (and funny) and will guide you with expertise through the current (and upcoming options) depending on the type of running you do or the event you are training for. Having been running in discontinued shoes for 4 years now that I kept re-buying on Vinted due to annoying cramps in all other shoes, I went to Lou for help to find a pair that will work for me. I explained what I needed and the very first pair was the one. Thereβs no pressure to buy (as experienced with some of the bigger chains). Would recommend anyone to make the journey; added bonus is that there is free parking to anyone not local on the road on weekends. Thanks for your help!

Lou has been a consummate professional every time I've met her. I run a physiotherapy practice in chingford and, despite the distance, I am always more than happy to send clients to Lou for footwear advice. She has not only helped my clients, but also myself when my feet were giving numerous issues. Always happy to come back here myself and to send clients to Lou. Her advice is on-point!.

I have been running for 5 years and I run between 4 to 10 times per months depending on weather and motivation. Mostly 5k and occasionally 10K or 15K. But I haven't been taking my running seriously and I always buy cheap running shoes that disintegrate quickly. A friend recommended me this shop and as a reward for running my first 5K under 27 minutes I went yesterday to have a look at a new pair to replace my current ones that are falling apart. The woman who looked after me was absolutely amazing. It was such a brilliant experience!!! She started by asking thoughtful questions about my goals, running routine, and if I had any ongoing pains or challenges. Then she had me run with my current shoes and she filmed me running on the treadmill and then she had me try five different pairs and run with them and she encouraged me to describe how each pair felt, I even tried running with a different shoe on each foot! I was very surprised how much each shoe changed the entire feel, not only how it felt in the foot and ankle but also in the calves, knees and hips, both joints and muscles! The fifth pair I tried felt so good I didn't want to take them off and I went straight for a 5k run in Victoria Park. the run felt soooooo much better than my usual runs with my cheap trainers! And today I feel zero soreness! Nor joint, nor muscle! So much that I feel like going on another run already :D It was such a personal, informative process; no pressure to buy, just genuine care and expertise. She even gave me training advice to help me improve my dancing! I have a new appreciation for what a difference proper running shoes make. I will only buy my running gear from this place from now on and I highly recommend!

As someone big who usually feels uncomfortable in most sport-related spaces, the service I received from the woman in this shop made me feel so at ease. Being given options as to whether I wanted to walk or to run on the treadmill to try the shoes was much appreciated. Canβt wait to start using my new shoes!

Amazing service! Iβm a complete running novice and wanted to buy a good pair of shoes so I can get into it and Lou was unbelievably helpful! Full gait analysis was brilliant and she made sure I got the absolute perfect pair, all while chatting away as if we were old friends. As a hospitality worker myself I was so impressed! Also gave me a recommendation for extra accessories and the price was very decent! Will definitely be returning once I get stuck into my running journey!

Went in as a new-ish runner looking to get a new pair of shoes in prep for running my first half marathon. I was served by a lovely lady who was super helpful. She got me on a treadmill and analysed my gait and then got me to try on a couple of pairs of shoes and give them a go. I ended up finding the perfect pair for me and left very happy. Additionally, she was insistent that if I have any issues going foward with them to get in contact and she will be more than happy to assist. One of the most caring shopping experiences I've ever had and couldn't recommend this store enough!

Went there to get some advice on what trainers I should run in and also to treat myself because I kind of feel out of love with running. However, I box so itβs a necessary evil for me! The lady who helped me was super cool, she got me on the treadmill and watched me run a little, had a look at the trainers I came in wearing and told me my feet land inwards just from looking at the trainers! You can tell she knows her stuff. I left with some ASICS GT-4000 3βs and I went for a run today. Honestly, felt amazing. Thanks for the help, will definitely be back for any running paraphernalia. Highly recommend.

Had a problem with my right foot on long runs. Numbness after 20k, painful sole after I stopped and my big toe felt like it was bruised. After a quick run on City Runner's treadmill they showed me on the iPad I have two collapsing arches. They then got me to run again, this time wearing different shoes on each foot. It really helps guage which one is better like an eye test at an optiticans. By the third time of trying I'd found my perfect running shoes which were a half size bigger than my previous pair. Happy runner back in the road. Excellent service and highly recommended.

I went to have a look at Altro trainers, which are not easy to find in London. The owner was exceptionally helpful. Having gone through a couple of options, she suggested a model which was not in stock at the moment, but did seem a good fit to what I was looking for. She also shared great insight into how wider toe box options with and without zero drop may feel with wear. I highly recommend and will definitely be coming back to this store.
