I had a great experience in the new JD that opened in Lakeside recently. Staff were very attentive and friendly especially Vanessa who I was served by. She was very effective in helping me pick out a perfect gift for my daughter. Will be back.
When at the tills, maybe exercise some etiquette and customer service and get staff who seem to prioritise hanging small bits of clothing to jump on and help colleagues instead of delaying and frustrating customers who simply want to make a swift purchase and exit. Laughable that you further waste our time asking customers to rate their experience on the chip and pin machine. You would have gotten one star but, some of the other staff actually proved helpful. Do better. Maybe respond to your reviews on here, if actually bothered.
Yesterday I went to JD Sports to buy a total of five coats. I had my three children with me, and my youngest, who is one year old, was seated in the shopping trolley while we shopped. We had also placed our old jackets in the trolley. It took us more than an hour to select the new coats. Some of the staff were very helpful and came to ask if we needed anything. However, after we had finally selected everything, one female staff member came and told us that the shopping trolley was not allowed inside the store. I explained that we were using it only to keep my little child seated while shopping. If trolleys are not allowed, they should put a notice at the entrance. Otherwise, the staff standing at the entrance should inform customers before they enter—not after they have spent almost an hour inside. We used the same shopping mall’s trolley in Zara, Next, and M&S, and none of them had any issue. It seems JD is the only one with this problem. In the end, we put back all the coats and shoes we had selected and left the store.
Loveliest staff all so smiley and approachable. The manager (or supervisor I’m not sure)- male with brunette light hair? Absolutely amazing!! Went in there with no receipt and I kept changing my mind, was still patient and so HELPFUL! More managers like this please. And the ladies at the till!! So smiley. Love this huge JD store :)

I had the most amazing service today at the JDsports store ( 0192) at Lakeside shopping centre by a Young, Polite and patient shop assistant called Tyler I would score him a 10/10 Thank you very much
Poor quality staff who argue with you. Standing around and being aggressive to customers manager said no one is trained to man the tills
1/2/23 sometime between 5pm-7pm. I couldn’t believe my eyes or ears when I saw this. I was being served by a lovely black young man Keshaan with trainers for my children. Whilst him serving us this chubby, on the bigger build side, fair skin, apparently ‘supervisor’ who I think goes by the name Andre, interrupted for the second time, just to tell the sales assistant to pick up a piece of paper (price ticket) off of the floor, which he literally could’ve bent his backside down and done it himself. I couldn’t stand there and just ignore it. I approached the ‘supervisor’ and asked him ‘did you really just ask him to pick up a piece of paper that you could’ve picked up yourself?’ He responded with ‘yes’ so in return I said ‘why, why did you not just do it yourself?’ He then said ‘last time I did, someone told me off,’ I said ‘someone told you off for picking up a piece of paper, please help me understand what you mean by this.’ He shrugged his shoulder and took his embarrassed red face away and turned to serve another customer. Literally disgusting behaviour. It’s definitely a power trip thing and it makes me sick that one human to treat another human like this. I asked other members of staff what management was like and sadly to say they all said it comes from higher up. You are not taking your job to the grave. Learn to respect people and you will get genuine respect back. I will write to HR because I am that angry about the little gang that runs this JD.
Really poor shopping experience. I had a 20% off voucher to spend. I was told that they didn't have the facility to process the voucher. I put three items back and only purchased the one. I went over to the foot asylum who were better priced and I got 5% cashback.
An amazon selections of shoes, clothing and more! Everything is amazing and you could never leave without a dream shoe in mind.
