   We really enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh - West. The property is very conveniently located close to the airport. The rooms are very well kept and modern. There is a lovely restaurant/bar area, with plenty of space. The staff were extremely helpful and took great care of us. We would definitely return to this location, because of the location, staff and amenities.

   I can not fault any of the staff, they were always will to help, always very friendly. The food was amazing, well presented and just delicious. The rooms were very clean, spacious, well laid out, beds very comfortable, and lovely and warm. Thank you for a lovely stay, would highly recommend. The location is a bit out of the city centre, but the buses run every 10-15mins and the drivers can be very helpful.

   Very nice hotel and the staff and breakfast were excellent. The problem I had was finding the hotel as it is on Edinburgh University campus area and there is no signage on the side of the hotel facing the road. The room was really nice with interesting lighting features. They do offer free parking and it is 6 minutes from the airport

   It's not bad. The rooms are good nice and modern. The menu is very limited but the food is perfectly acceptable. Like everywhere in Edinburgh in August you get poor value for your money.

   Lovely hotel in a quiet, green area on the Heriot-Watt University campus. Great for relaxing after exploring Edinburgh. Rooms are modern, clean, and spacious with comfy beds and free Wi-Fi. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Free on-site parking is a big plus, and the hotel is fully wheelchair accessible. Breakfast was good with both hot and continental options. The location is a bit outside the city centre, but buses run regularly and it’s close to the airport. Overall, a peaceful and comfortable stay—great value for money if you don’t mind being slightly outside the city buzz!

   This is a nice hotel located inside a university campus, it offers a quiet location with easy access to Edinburgh city centre via bus or train. There's also free parking and easy access to the motorway from here. Breakfast was good, the rooms and clean and modern. The overall value for the money is quite good.

   Let's see, I am going to divide this review into 3 sections: 1 - the people: very nice and helpful 2 - the bar: the bartender was great, chatty, and all around pleasant 3 - the room: this is where it gets weird. There were 2 of us sharing a queen/king bed (can't remember), but what was weird was the bathroom. It was good sized and took up about a 1/3 of the room, however it was encased in frosted glass with a door that did not really provide privacy. As in, "if you are staying with someone who might need to do a #2, you might want to make yourself scarce" lack of privacy.

   Terrible experience. We arrived and had to wait over an hour to check in because our room wasn’t ready. When we were told they were ready it was for a smaller, incorrect room so we waited again. We missed out booking for a cruise and they did not attempt to fix anything or compensate. When we got into the room there were skid marks on the toilet and crumbs on the desk. We waited so long just to be greeted with a dirty room. Do not recommend. Only highlight was the arsenal coaches that were training with the U18s.

   The rooms were clean and everything was working without issues. The connection to the city is easy with lots of busses and the ride is only about 25 minutes. The breakfast was good, but if you want to have options, you should consider going early, because otherwise everything will already be eaten and in my time there, they have barely refilled or been very slow doing so (haven't refilled some breakfast essentials the entire time we ate).
