   I am a “weekend warrior” renovating my front room, as opposed to a trades professional. It is easy to feel Intimidated when using suppliers such as Express, but they were excellent. Carol was extremely patient with my and generous with her time to ensure I got exactly the right products for my job. The warehouse chaps very kindly helped me load up. It was a pleasure to do business with these folks, and I have no hesitation in recommending them to trades and diy’ers alike. The sheets of hardwood ply are of superior quality than those I’ve had from B&Q, and are at a better price. What’s not to love?

   Visited 2 weeks ago, Older guy not helpful at all. Needed skirting board which was just square edged and a certain height which they did stock but he kept asserting his 'look down on a girl' attitude and saying that I can't have skirting in my house because it MUST have a profile, and it CAN'T be straightedged while laughing at me and saying he's no idea what I want from him. I turned and left, went to jewsons and got it in 2 seconds... Avoid.

2. SUPER-SMUDGER “SUPER-SMUDGER” ★☆☆☆☆

   Ordered and received my wood last week, initially looked all good i check and counted the numbers all good. Then when i went to do the job found under my 4.8m lengths there were some 3m lengths. I was not communicated with at all about the change in my order and seeing as the smaller bits were hidden under the longer lengths felt a bit decieved. I contacted them to discover they had run out of 4.8m lengths and had replaced them with 3m which is not what i needed for my job and had no idea when 4.8m would be back in stock. They offered to come collect them and refund but seeing as its 5 bits of wood Ive handed them to a neighbour instead. also the photo below is the standard that some of the 4.8m however seeing as they're extremely hard to get hold of these days Ive had to use it anyway. I wont be using this supplier again.

   First class service top class wood. Connor was really helpful and knew his stuff . I will definitely be using Express Timber again. If anyone is using Express Timber ask for Connor he's a top man and he'll help you out.
