Tesco N hanover st opposite GCU is famous for its long-standing proven record of hiring the strangest and most uncomfortable security men you will ever encounter. Also sassy young men with an attitude if, god forbid, you need assistance from a customer assistant.
staff are so rude! waited at self check out for 10 mins waiting for a member of staff to come over and help, had attitude when was having to help at the check out like they just couldn’t be bothered. absolutely terrible
Self-checkouts need to be cleaned more often and carrier bags more readily available. Other than that it's decent.
I withdraw all what I have said about this Tesco branch. The security staff don't know what they want, They interfere in everything. There is a security lady who stopped me from buying panadol, monster energy drink, and today, she stopped me about 5 minutes to check if I paid for the bag or not, knowing that I paid for it but I scanned it twice by mistake. She was not respectful to me and she kept telling me to lower my voice when I speak and not to speak and also telling me that there are cameras, I know that there are cameras, and there are cameras in all Tesco branches but no one in the other branches has dealt with me like this. I don't know what she wants and what her rule is in this branch. By her actions, it seems like she is the manager. It is the worst experience ever, and I will not buy anything anymore from this branch ever, and I will not recommend it. In the other Tesco branches, the staff and security are respectful, and if anytime I forget to scan the bag, they say it is ok, and no one has stopped me ever. They are very cooperative.
While this store’s placement is really convenient, the staff are almost never at the tills and are constantly restocking shelves, which makes anything which you need ID to buy really difficult. The other day I had to ask the security guy for help because every member of staff was in the back. I don’t understand why restocking shelves is a higher priority than standing at the till.
Pretty shocking, randomly closes throughout the day, opening time are unreliable. Ask a lady round the back who works there and she just says "no sorry we're closed right now". OK... Great. Where am I getting my cheeky meal deal from now. Pointless being a convenience store if ya'll not convenient.
great new shop underneath my accommodation, very useful for us students !! loving the clubcard deals here xx would give it 5 if it had a door straight from my accommodation for us lazy folks haha!
