Went in to purchase a meal deal, stood at the self service for 5 minutes, waiting on a can of red bull being age verified. Wound up walking out as all available staff where to busy stacking shelves. This includes the store manager.
Went in for few juice and the fridge was very warm and the juice I picked up was too warm to get so I left but they need an update to the hole shop.
Really poor experience with customer service today at the self checkout. I tried to buy a "challenge 25" item. Now, I'm closer to 50 than 25, so this has never been a problem in the past, with the "visibly over 25" option. However, the staff member manning the section this afternoon disagreed. She refused to allow the sale on the basis that I didn't have physical ID on me, despite me offering to show her a scanned copy on my phone. Her smug and condescending attitude makes me think she enjoys wielding her petty power to make life difficult for customers. Clearly this staff member needs further training, or possibly glasses.
witnessed shockingly poor customer service towards someone who popped in to buy a quick bottle of wine whilst walking a young puppy who couldn't be left alone person behind counter dourly went "no dogs aloud" wouldn't budge when asked for a Cotes du Rhone and badmouthed the customer after they left as a former Sainsbury's employee it raised so many red flags, but no doubt the Tesco up the road enjoyed the sale of a premium red

Flies on the bread, and the cashier was sour faced and miserable to the customers.

Ok now I usually like shopping here, admittedly times are scary at present but found the attitude of some members of staff to be downright rude and offensive. Social distancing is something we should all adhere to but for a staff member to come into your personal space and tell you to step back .... without a please ... is in my book downright rude. Especially as he had the look of disdain on his face.... I can appreciate that some workers dont want to be there but honestly I wouldn't be in the shop if not necessary, no I didn't stock up and yes I do need to eat. Shop staff are doing a hard job in these trying times but please remember most of your customers are as stressed out as yourselves.
