Only use this supermarket occasionally and I find it quite a stressful shop to go to. Everything seems crammed, never enough staff on tills, self checkout staff not the most on the ball to keep things ticking over quickly, someone had left till as over £100 shop had decline and to be honest they could’ve been out the shop with it, this then held up an already long queue before the staff member realised it had happened, then the customers who already had a lengthy wait at self check out then had to go hoping another long queue, eventually more staff arrived. The self check out only works well with efficient staff manning it.

I attended this store recently and proceeded to shop using as I always do my own bag instead of a basket. I was approached by a female security assistant who asked me if I would like to use a basket. I told the lady politely that although I clearly cannot avoid all contact with people/objects etc I did try to minimise it due to having a very compromised immune system. She then advised me that she would have to follow me around the store to make sure I wasn't stealing anything. I actually thought she was joking (SHE WASN'T) she then proceeded to follow me making ridiculous utterances and comments. I eventually told her I had no desire to engage with her. She continued to harass me and eventually I said "please stop talking to me" she replied "you stop talking to me" at this point I questioned both my and her sanity. I've since seen the same woman haranguing someone for failing to return an unwanted item to its exact location. I shall return to M&S and Morrisons where no-one has ever questioned me using my own bag. Horrible horrible and idiotic woman

A joke of a ‘supermarket’. Poor choice of fruit and veg and pricey too. It seems someone at Sainsbury’s HQ is fond of closed cup mushrooms but not much else. ‘Ripe’ avocados that resemble bullets. Vegan chilled selection is unbelievably unhealthy. The majority of it is just different variations of ‘flavoured’ gluten. No thanks. Convenience vegan food consists of just three meals – one worse than the other and expensive. Frozen vegan food is ok and can have some good deals but... it's often entirely empty. Sainsbury's would never leave the meat section entirely empty. There used to be three vegan magnum choices. Not anymore. There’s one vanilla ice cream and its rarely in stock. Sainsburys has decided vegans don't like ice cream/Magnums despite the latter items always selling out. I’m not sure who their stock controller is? Often the freezer section is left looking bereft with minimal stock. Same goes for soya milk. Over 12 weeks for their own brand to reappear. Bread. It had a shocking choice of fresh breads… now it’s reduced that paltry choice. If you like white uncooked dough made by a disinterested heater-upper then Sainsbury’s is the place to buy your raw-dough posing as bread. Music. Deafening. Not only can it be difficult to think due to the exceptional volume, the quality of the music is atrocious. A continual search for notes as autotune is used to distraction. Has footfall increased since the blaring music was introduced? Most likely not. Noise: one of the noisiest shops you’ll ever encounter. See music above. Additionally, an alarm that goes off, it seems every 30 seconds. Old metal stock trolleys that rattle through the shop. Staff throwing stock pallets/baskets rather than placing them. Staff throwing/dropping baskets as they collect at checkout – disinterested. Staff. Some superb staff. Specifically at the checkout areas. Shelf stacking staff can be aggressive as they block sections or push straight past you - at very close quarters – to put something on a shelf. No excuse me. Nothing – just barge in. At least one of them should be fired. He has zero interest in customers and sees them as obstacles. The word bully springs to mind. Sainsbury’s, at Crow Road, is not a supermarket. It’s more like a poorly stocked, unruly creche. We now shop elsewhere. Only in a dire emergency will we use this Sainsbury’s.

Medium sized unit in a practical location with loads of parking. Gets very busy at times but shelves remain full. Credit to the couple of long serving till staff who provide excellent customer service. Although increasingly the store pushes towards self service as they add more and more terminals. I was sceptical as to the benefits of Nectar but it’s basically essential to get the best prices these days. A minor hassle but if it saves money it’s worth downloading the app. Pricing could be more competitive and the range of frozen goods is poor vs its larger competitors but it does have a broad selection of core items and an in store Argos.

The attitude from staff in that store unbelievable. U will get the odd staff who are helpful but the rest are lazy & ignorant The manager isn't any better. Remember it's the public who pay their wages

What a lovely shopping experience today. A tall gentleman who was a member of staff took time to chat to a customer who was with her carer. She was absolutely overjoyed to see him and speak to him. It was lovely to see. Incidentally, I got all the shopping I was looking for too.

Standard Grocery store. Prices are slightly on the higher side when compared to other super markets. The quality of the products are decent enough. Quality of few perishable products can be improved. All the basic items are available. Parking options available. The staff were really helpful.

Nicola, Manager: Just popped into Sainsbury's Crow Road, as I have been doing for the last 20 years. I had a problem and when I spoke to Nicola, she was very pleasant, friendly and professional. Great work - I will continue to enjoy shopping here for a long time I hope.

Always have everything I’m looking for including meatless vegan options. Even when lines are long the check out goes by quick. They have a nice bulletin board with local activities and jobs. Staff is nice and the place is clean.
