I stop by about once a month to collect a prescription. Nothing else really. I'm giving it three stars in this review because I had to visit twice in two days, and the first time, there were approximately seven staff members behind the counter, two of whom came over and totally ignored me while they worked on the till and then walked away again. And today I had a debate with the pharmacist about medication, which I had been given too much of, and which she assured me couldn't possibly have been the case because it wasn't on the system. A very bizarre conversation.

I left them cos I once lost a tablet, and they refused to give me spare. The male pharmacist shouted across the counter no.? Had to go private to get spare. They wouldn't help delievery either. They couldn't relate to an international living alone female. This context imposes layers of challenges such as losing tablets for adhd etc, which they regularly provide. Wouldn't recommend tbh if you have similar circumstances to mine. Absent compassion and constant uncomfortable piercing looks from some of the staff as if I am an alien? I prefer Southside pharmacy for having values aligning with their profession and probably being close to university, could help in understanding internationals' challenges and help not shout nor condemn or become sceptic. Crighton helped, too, and Lindsay. For dears? Whenever I go medication isn't ready though mine was weekly dispense, wait for 20 minutes with straight shooting looks behind counter and the locker wasn't working. Others dont do that and have a very amicable way of treating patients and assuring internationals. Those are the kind of pharmacists trained in chemistry, not human elements, yet vital for their profession... swipe left. Check reviews below, and ppl have been complaining of bad mgt since years, and nothing changed? Check one of the comments below said they have selective treatment to patients indeed. Yes. Another refereed to their apathy, I wonder who feeds ppl emotions those days so they could train under. Sub zero, review, and mgt that doesn't improve or anything just keeping radiating those piercing looks from behind counter w. Doing anything I updated as a friend of mine had another awful experience but is shy of sharing her experience so it's still falling on deafening ears.

I’ve been coming to this pharmacy for the past few years and have always had a positive experience. The pharmacist is kind, attentive, and takes the time to make sure everything is clear. I really appreciate the consistent and thoughtful service.

Frustrated Blood Test Experience: I visited Dears Pharmacy & Travel Clinic last week to get a blood test—yes, trying to stay on top of your health in the UK feels oddly complicated. The staff were lovely and friendly, but their customer service left a lot to be desired. I walked in ready to book a test, only to be told I needed to browse their packages online and book there or in-store. (Apparently, helping customers make decisions in person isn’t an option.) Determined to sort it out, I found a coffee shop, selected a test on their website, and tried to book it. The website didn’t work. Frustrated, I went back to the pharmacy, only to be told there was no availability for the test this year. Disappointed, I went home, but out of curiosity, I checked their website again. Lo and behold, I found a very similar test with availability. So, not a lack of slots—just poor communication and a clunky system. If a customer is ready to pay over £200, don’t send them away to figure it out themselves. Help them choose the right option and, if their choice isn’t available, offer alternatives on the spot. Friendliness is nice, but it doesn’t make up for the frustration of a missed opportunity.

I can't say enough good things about this pharmacy! The staff here are incredibly friendly, supportive, and always go above and beyond to help. For the past few months, I've been visiting every 10 days to collect milk powder for my baby, and each visit has been an absolute pleasure. It's rare to find a place where you genuinely look forward to stopping by, but the warm, welcoming atmosphere here makes it so enjoyable. I truly appreciate their kindness and dedication to great customer service—thank you all!

This is my local. They are really nice, great customer service. A couple of years ago it was really awful, but the new management or whatever they changed has made it spectacular. I’m very happy with them now.

Unfortunately my prescription wasn't made up despite it being delivered to Dears a week before picking it up. I waited with no explanation for nearly half an hour. When they made up the prescription it was wrong. I was told it was my GPs issue and to ring them (I couldn't it was late Friday) I explained that my meds could be given in different dose levels circumventing the mistake, although this wasnt relayed to the pharmacist correctly. I waited again for an emegency dose. A very frustrating experience as both GP surgery and Pharmacy don't seem to communicate well, and there is little recourse. Other people were complaining in the shop about the same thing.
