   A very immediate and friendly welcome on my two visits, followed by a thorough and professional eye examination, with my possible options explained in great detail. The whole set up of the practice is both slick and efficient, adding to customer comfort and satisfaction, along with a very high level of cleanliness throughout.

   Update: the manager Damien reached out after hearing of my poor experience. He apologised and offered to reglaze the glasses for free. He also said he’d spoken to staff about the correct way to handle these situations in the future. It’s unfortunate that it took a bad google review to get an appropriate response but alls well that ends well. Original review: Staff unable to measure PD correctly leading to useless glasses. They even remade the lenses claiming the issue had been fixed, only learned they were still wrong at my routine vision test at another location. When I brought this up with them they refused to remake them and said they measured correctly even though vision is distorted. Best to avoid.

   Just had an excellent experience at this Specsavers. I had to take my eight month old twins whilst getting an eye test and everyone in the branch was super accomodating, kind, helpful and made everything straight forward. The optician was fantastic and very personable. A lady in the store helped by carrying one of the twins when she was upset whilst I picked some frames. I can't thank everyone enough for how relaxed I felt during that visit.

   Friendly welcome. Efficient and fast service. I didn't have an appointment and needed a contact lens removed. I only waited a few minutes and the optician fitted me in. I would highly recommend Specsavers for consistently great service.

   I had such a great experience here! First of all, all the staff are brilliant! I went to get new glasses and wanted to try contact lenses. Everyone took time to discuss all the options, explain everything to me in detail so that I could understand what was happening. Jay (I don't know how to spell her name) was my optometrist and she was so great! I felt so at ease with her and she didn't give up to find me the right fit for contact lenses! When it came to finding the right glasses the staff took so much time and care to find what suited me and gave me advice, so that I didn't even feel that I needed to bring someone to help me pick glasses. I would highly recommend coming here if you have any questions or if you're nervous about anything, these lovely people will take good care of you!

   I am glad that I didn't go to Specsavers! Just who do they think are at the Leith Branch. I telephoned the Leith Branch today to enquire if they had the frames Coleman and India available in the store for me to try on. I was told by Danielle, "We should do but I am not on the shop floor and am unable to check." I responded, "Very helpful." Danielle replied, "Well OK." So I terminated the call. Whatever happened to Shop Assistants attempting to build a better business? Surely Danielle could have offered to check the situation on the shop floor and telephone me back with the information requested. I telephoned to establish this information so that I dd not have a wasted journey. I also telephoned Specsavers Head Office to discuss this abysmal level of service and the woman who answered the telephone told me to contact the store because they are a franchise. I would say that Specsavers' attitude leaves a great deal to be desired.

   I went last week for my yearly eye appointment and I wanted to try the contact lenses. The optometrist ordered for me after I got my prescription done and she said that I could just come and pick them up. Long story short I got the text saying that my lenses are ready and when I'm there the very "busy" employees (three of them just huddle around one that show them a video on the ipad and didn't even bother to respond to my greeting when I step on the store!), tell me that I have to make ANOTHER appointment (up to one hour) just to try the lenses. This was not informed prior and felt like such a disregard of my time. Never again. I'll go back to Boots.

   I signed up for the contact lenses subscription and was told that due to the nature of the system I need to pick up my first lenses from the shop. 6 weeks later I have been charged but the order still is stuck do to some “issues”. I have cancelled my subscription and I was promised a refund with no problem. People working there are really nice and polite but 6 weeks wait and being charged up front without delivering the product is not acceptable. I don’t recommend this shop.
