   unprofessional; they have 3-4 stores in Edinburgh; and if the desk lady would have told us that we arrived at the wrong one we would have had time to go to the right location; so annoying; It ruined my day...

   I had good experience at this branch back in 2017, so popped in again this time to get some reading glasses. Unfortunately, the experience could not be worse. Twice now Vision Express installed lenses for distance rather than for reading, despite me very clearly instructing that they were to be reading glasses. The lady at the front tried to insist it was my brain that wasn't adjusted to the new glasses (my prescription has not changed though). I could not read with the "reading" glasses, so clearly something was wrong. Only after I insisted again and again that she check what prescription lenses I was given did she eventually realise/admit that they had corrected for distance again, not reading as I asked for. So one month later, 3 wasted trips (for which I often have to take time off work for), £178 poorer and still no reading glasses. I would not have minded so much if it was wrong once as mistakes can happen, but making the mistake twice is beyond belief and the attitude of the lady was enough to put me off ever going back to Vision Express again. I also had to wait nearly an hour as they closed for lunch when they were supposed to be open (this is only a very minor niggle as I know staff shortages can happen, but it just added to the bad experience). I would not recommend this optician to anyone based on my experience. I really should have just popped to Specsavers across the road, which would have been a lot cheaper too.

   Excellent service, very helpful and friendly staff. I was given an appointment with very short notice even during this COVID period. I was very worried about my eyesight for couple of days but after the appointment with very thorough examination and explanation by the optician made my mind at ease. Great customer service will go back again.
