We recently stayed at Craigie Hotel, and I can honestly say I’ve never felt so at home in a hotel before... The rooms are excellent, the restaurant is fantastic, but it’s the team that sets this place apart. From the moment we arrived, nothing felt like too much trouble. They kindly helped us check in a little earlier than usual, and later—knowing they had an event on and that we were travelling with young children moved us to another room to help settle the girls more easily in the evening. That level of thoughtfulness is rare. The real standout moment came after we had left. We received a call from the hotel asking if we were in Edinburgh, as our six-year-old had left her favourite teddy in the bed. Without hesitation, the team carefully packaged “Star” up and sent her on a journey home via Royal Mail. The joy (and relief!) this brought to our daughter was priceless. This wasn’t just great hospitality, it was genuine care. An exceptional hotel run by an exceptional team. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and recommend it without reservation.
Staff were very accomodating helpful but not intrusive. Had dinner and breakfast very generous portions. The room was beautiful and immaculate cleanliness amazing. Wish i took pics
It may seem like a cold place, but the services, rooms, and cuisine make it wonderful. Unfortunately the town has no interesting sites to offer, but the hotel is absolutely excellent. The cuisine is also spectacular: top-notch!
What a cracking find. Great modern hotel, super food ( veggy and vegan options). Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff and manager. Rates, food and drink competitive. They can also cover weddings, meetings, celebrations and business events. If you are in the borders or Edinburgh, this is a short distance away and well worth considering. The breakfast choice is superb. I love the full Scottish and my wife couldn't move away from selecting the French toast and bacon with maple syrup. Rooms are spacious, freshly furnished and very clean. Parking is plentiful. Music tribute evenings here too.
Best hotel in Scotland! Food & cocktails were great. Room was very clean. There was a party on New Year’s Eve. We had an amazing time here!
Best tour spot if you want a classic British castle-esque holiday! The overall ambience were enticing and the environment around the hotel was very calming. I want to come here again soon!
We stopped over at the Craigie Hotel to break our journey down south following a business trip further North in Scotland. We couldn't have chosen better! Extremely pleasant and attentive staff, great dinner and a spectacular breakfast. Loved the decor in the rooms and bathroom, too. Thank you - I'll hope to be back one day for a more leisurely stay.
What a fantastic little hotel in a great location. Booked very last minute for business and hadn't been there before. Lovely place with a friendly and helpful team. Room really clean and comfortable and finished to a high standard. Lots of space and everything you need. Great shower! Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Had eggs benedict, though could have eaten half the menu. Will definitely have to come back to experience dinner and enjoy the hotel properly. A very fortunate spontaneous booking!
