The hotel is lovely really welcoming and cozy and a lovely period feel to it. Its handy for jumping the bus, the cut through to the main road is in the car park which we missed on the first day so walked around. We stayed in room 216 which had a lovely seating area in one of the turrets. The bed was huge, high ceilings, light, space for getting ready and kitchenette area, big wardrobes, and really nice shower too. We highly recommend this room which we were upgraded to for and extra Β£10 a night.

Pleasant hotel in a handy position just outside Morningside. Just down the stairs from the hotel is a main road with frequent busses to and from the city centre. Our room was on the top floor and had excellent views across to the Forth. The room was clean and comfortable but perhaps just a little tired. Staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and approachable. Breakfast was self service and there was a good selection of hot and cold options. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Our family celebrated a 90th birthday today in the Library. We could not fault the service we received from the staff. The choices from the menu were all enjoyed and were attractively presented. We highly recommend this venue for a special occasion. Thankyou to all

we had an amazing 2 night stay with braid hills hotel, celebrating my partners birthday we received an upgrade! The room had everything we wanted, the bed was comfortable and the views were beautiful! the staff were very helpful and understanding due to our severe car issues, but this certainly did not spoil our stay! we will definitely be back!

We stayed here one night in June 2019. We were very pleased with our accommodation. The building is rustic and charming with nice views out over a valley when having a glass of wine on the terrace. The room was spacious and the location is good not far from central Edinburghβ¦about a 10-15 minute ride by taxi. The price was very reasonable.

Only stayed for 1 night but I would recommend it. Itβs not very close to the city Center but there are several buses available that will get you to the old town in just 20 minutes or so (Β£1,80 single trip). The place is on a hill and is very quiet, although our room was facing the Main Street and we could hear the cars outside during the entire night as the windows are not well isolated. Curtains are blackout, which is good for light sleepers like myself. There was a fridge, kettle and sink as well as coffee and tea available which was great to chill in the evening. The room was quite big and beautiful. Bathroom was also spacious and the water pressure good. Bed was very comfortable and there were several pillows available to choose from. All in all a great stay. If I ever need to stay in Edinburgh I will definitely keep Braid Hills in mind.

Super location, free secure parking. Easy access by foot and bus service into Edinburgh city centre. Bus number 11 to and from Edinburgh. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable beds, rooms are good too. Dining is very good. I'd recommend staying here, been a frequent visitor for several years now.

We stayed here once again as we love it so. It is well situated with great views and parking. The hotel was warm, the food was good and we were given a free upgrade on request. Breakfast and all waiting staff were friendly and professional.
