This quiet, clean guest house is within a few minutes walk of a lovely street with small cafes and great thrift stores. While there is a step staircase to the first floor where our room was, we hardly heard any other quests. There is a charming parlour on the entrance floor with a selection of books and teas. We were two women travelling and felt safe in the guest house and in the neighbourhood.

Wonderful service the moment we arrived. Had a room on the first floor, twin bed setup as we were two friends traveling together. Cozy with a great little garden in the back. Colorful and thoughtful decor. Clean bathroom with great shower pressure. 10/10 would recommend if you want to explore Edinburgh but we tucked away from the crowds and noise. Great location.

We arrived earlier than 3 which is the checking time. So we rang the doorbell as instructed on the mail we've received. A nice lady welcomed us and we were led to a nice cozy room. We were quite exhausted from the trip and were taking a short nap when a worker barged into the room and started screaming at us ordering us to get out and come downstairs immediately. Not understanding at all what had happened, we changed our clothes and walked downstairs. Then the accusations started, shouting that we went into the wrong room on purpose, we have to pay much more and it's all our fault. Later also telling other clients we make a mistake and that's why they had to wait. We were constantly ordered to do things which felt disrespectful and degrading. We stayed calm and collected which was the best for the situation but it was hard to do. We are a young couple, 26 and 22, and I can imagine that's what made him immediately assume we did something crazy but this is definitely not a way to talk to anyone and even less to a client who has paid to enjoy their stay. We have considered staying elsewhere but that is not something we can afford at the moment. Staying in such a place felt scary and unsafe as a young female even with my partner. We were enjoying Scotland so much and this is such a shame. After asking for an apology, he suddenly became overly friendly but the damage was already done. Please be careful and have my experience in mind when booking this place.

The whole building makes you feel like home, every room feels very cosy. The staff very friendly and receptive. Our room was spotless, very clean and tidy. Will definitely stay there again. Unfortunately we went on a really cold day and the heather of our room was not strong enough so you could feel the cold. Maybe a thicker curtains would've make the difference.

Stayed 2 nights, was absolutely lovely. Nice bathroom in the room. Safe, mini fridge, coffee maker, kettle, iron, smart tv, and comfy beds. Would definitely stay again, and would recommend to anyone we knew that decided to come up to Edinburgh.

Beautiful guesthouse in a lovely neighbourhood. Check in was easy with a keybox. Room was tiny but it had all we needed. Everything was neat and there was complimentary tea, coffee and water. Bathroom was modern, good shower. The bed was horrible however. The springs in the matress where almost sticking out, so we barely slept. The room could really use a new matress! Location is good, about an hour uphill walk to the old town, so quite tiring at times.
