   We stayed for two nights on staff rate. We were pleasantly surprised by the free breakfast! It was a really if stay and we were helped by the same gentleman all of our stay (not sure on his name but he was well helpful!) the fish in the restaurant was incredible and the size of my head! Big fan of the hot chocolate in the reception it was a lovely touch. And always pleased with a warm chocolate cookie on check-in. Staff seemed happy and well accommodating. Will definitely return when I return to Edinburgh !

   Overpriced and not worth the money. My mother and I were made to feel not very welcomed from the moment of checking-in and was asked if we were UK residents, which seems completely irrelevant to our visit. Having pre-booked on Booking.com which had some very impressive photos, our room was disappointing to say the least with some questionable design choices. The rooms were much smaller than the photos. The only upside is the option for twin double beds. The evening reception was very cold to us and left us feeling like we’d made the wrong choice. The toilet smelled awful in our room and walking around the halls, the stench of toilet water remained… thoroughly disappointed for our first night stay. We were so appalled we changed hotels and left the next day, only to be told that we’d only get a refund of one night despite having paid 3 nights all together. My mother uses a walker and there was no consideration for her when we checked-in. After paying over £750-£800, the service was horrible. Although the morning front desk manager tried to be polite, we’ve yet to receive an adequate refund and no receipt was provided for our first full payment on arrival. Would not recommend anyone come here. There are far better hotels in the city with much nicer rooms. Really put a damper on our first night.

   Exceptional Service and Comfort at the Hilton DoubleTree Edinburgh Our recent stay at the DoubleTree in Edinburgh was outstanding, defined by the price point, level of excellent service and the genuine care shown by the staff. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless: the hotel was extremely accommodating and allowed us an early check-in right after we arrived from the airport, with the room ready to go. The primary highlight was how accommodating the team was to our party of three with two disabled women . The front desk staff deserve endless praise for being so helpful and ensuring all our needs were met without fuss. We couldn't say enough about the professionalism and kindness of the employees, especially those in the lobby. The room itself was large and clean, providing a quiet and comfortable retreat despite being conveniently located near the elevator. Comfort was top-notch; even the sofa bed proved to be comfortable, and when we requested extra pillows, they were delivered almost immediately. The hotel boasts a great location. We were thrilled to have a clear view of the castle right from our window, and stepping out the front door put us within easy reach of the main attractions. While the breakfast was not elaborate, it certainly sufficed to get our day started. With a nice sitting area in the lobby and a truly comfortable atmosphere throughout, this hotel comes highly recommended, particularly for guests requiring dedicated support.

   Great few days away staying in this hotel, the location is great and easy walking access to new and old parts of Edinburgh. Rooms lovely and clean. Staff friendly at reception. Breakfast is great with plenty of choice. Must give a mention to Raul at breakfast, nothing too much trouble. Will definitely stay here again if visiting Edinburgh

   Once we could check in it was very good. We had the castle view suite and it was very nice. The mattress and pillows were amazing. The bathroom was glorious. No breakfast included and paying 800 GBP for 2 nights should include food for a Hilton. We found great food near by though. We had a couple of issues in our room but Hilton points were presented which offset that. The street noise was loud but because of nearby businesses . Windows closed fixed that. Overall we would stay again. It was a nice location overall.

   Lovely staff, that makes you feel verry welcome. Spacious room, clean and with all the comforts you could ask for. Good fresh breakfast. Our first visit wasn't what it supposed to be, so we've been invited back to make it up to us, and boy they did!!! A 10 out of 10!!!

   Staff was kind, patient and very helpful. Hotel feels new and clean and organized. Rooms were huge, clean and comfortable. Location is perfect to walk everywhere. Breakfast was delicious with many options. An overall wonderful and relaxing experience.

   Stayed here for a night. Closer to the castle and main town. Loved our stay and staff was very nice and friendly. Breakfast is definite to try. It’s fresh and hot. Many options available. We stayed in a suite and it was worth it. Big and clean. Bed was comfortable. Definitely recommending this and visiting again when I’m in Edinburgh next time.

   I stayed at five hotels in 7 days and this was the most kind staff I had encountered. So thankful for their patience, the sense of security, and assistance they provided. The room was large and had the most perfect view. The location was perfect. Everything was very clean and welcoming.
