Excellent all round hotel. Lovely Lebanese restaurant on site and great cocktails. Breakfast very good and staff genuinely nice, not put on. A little bit of walking to get into the centre so bear that in mind if you've mobility issues.

It's ok with easy access into Edinburgh sites with a bus stop just outside. Rooms were clean, breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about some hot foods had passed there holding time and was just offerings, but apart from this it was just somewhere to sleep whilst visiting Edinburgh.

Stayed here for 3 nights this week and both my family and I were very happy with our stay. The rooms were a good size and equipped with everything we needed for our stay, ironing board&iron, hair dryer, tea&coffee making facilities, a good size bathroom and comfortable beds. The rooms were clean and tidy and we had fresh towels and the room cleaned after our 2nd night. The only thing disappointing about the room was the pillows, the bed itself was comfortable but the pillows on the bed offered little support and weren't too comfortable, my head seemed to sink into them so they felt flat and unsupported. Location wise the hotel was fine for what we required, it was a 15min walk to grassmarket which wasn't too bad at all so it isn't too far out of town to walk. The breakfast was decent too, enough choice from cooked food, some continental and waffles which were a welcome change from pancakes in other hotels. Service was brilliant and couldn't ask for a better experience. Very helpful, friendly and chatty. The young Italian girl who was the manager on shift was helpful our first evening giving us directions to get an evening meal which was greatly appreciated after a long day travelling. We also had a meal in the Lebanese restaurant in the hotel which was really nice. Overall a great experience and would happily stay again when I visit Edinburgh again

We had a great time in Edinburgh, in part thanks to getting a good nights rest and breakfast at this hotel. The staff's very friendly. I'm an extremely light sleeper. Before we've even arrived, Emi went out of her way to place us in a room at the back of the hotel, far away from the lift, which was very much appreciated. We arrived an hour too early, but were able to check in right away. The rooms were clean, as was the whole hotel. It does feel a bit sterile, but it's on brand. Location is great. It's close enough to the city centre that most of the highlights are within walking distance. And the parts that aren't, you can always get by bus, which stops almost next to the hotel. Restaurants, fast food places and express supermarkets are all situated within a five minute walk, as well.

As a Hilton member, I chose this hotel for its reputation and was glad to find it in an ideal location for exploring Edinburgh. Breakfast was decent, the room comfortable once settled, and overall it worked well as a central base. That said, there were some details that fell short of what I expect from Hilton. I arrived to find my sheets and towels dirty, which was disappointing after a long day of travel. Housekeeping did address it the next day but not until almost 3pm. My request to change rooms as a whole was denied so I was forced to wait and occupy myself until that was resolved. Housekeeping did a wonderful job, but it shouldn’t have been the case in the first place. Parking also felt expensive at €16/day given the hotel is about a 25-minute walk from the city centre. And one interaction left a lasting impression: while speaking with staff in the lobby, another guest interrupted me mid-sentence in a noticeably rude way. What stood out most was that staff did nothing to acknowledge or correct it. Moments like that matter — when hospitality staff stay silent, it can make a guest feel unseen or treated differently. In short: the basics were covered, and the location is solid, but the service and attentiveness to guests need improvement. In my opinion it was not worth the almost €400 a night it cost unfortunately.

What a lovely hotel. From the minute we arrived, to the minute we left, the staff were helpful and polite. Adam at the reception was courteous and we even managed to check-in 2 hours early. Breakfast in the morning was lovely. Our room was spacious and clean. The shower was fantastic, I particularly liked the shower head. It was so simple to change the settings, from rainfall to invigorating. All the toiletries smelled divine. If I'm back in Edinburgh, I know where I'll be staying. Thanks

Stayed here last week for a small hen do. The staff could not have done enough for you. They were so attentive and made the stay very special. The rooms were lovely. House keeping were excellent, reception was excellent, breakfast was excellent. Didn't try the restaurant but I'm sure it was amazing. They made a hen very special! Great location and close to everything.

Fantastic hotel, perfect location, and well-suited to our travel needs. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and the staff was top-notch. As a Diamond member, I stay in many Hilton properties in the U.S., and they'd do well to spend a week at this establishment to see how a hotel should be run. Will definitely return next time I'm in Edinburgh.

Excellent central location with parking. Staff were friendly helpful and professional. Hotel had a very warm feeling on arrival. Rooms were exceptionally well appointed for a budget hotel with tea making facilities iron/board and quality bathroom amenities. Bathroom was a good size with large walk-in shower. Breakfast was very good with a really good selection of hot and cold food. Would definitely stay again.

Arrived early, around 10am due to early morning flight and although check in isn't until 3pm reception staff were really helpful. We dropped our bags off at reception and told to go and help ourselves to breakfast, which was a lovely bonus! Around 11.30 our room was ready, another bonus!! Check in very easy and given two key cards. Our room was absolutely lovely, very clean with hairdryer, iron, ironing board. Tea, coffee making facilities and air conditioning . Hotel is situated fairly close to all attractions and most within walking distance. Breakfast is lovely with plenty of choice to suit everyone's needs. This is a lovely clean, friendly place to stay and will definitely be going back.
