   I stayed with my husband for 4 nights at The Townhouse and we were well looked after by Susan and Robert. Lovely room and a bright modern bathroom. I was unlucky enough to develop a bad cold just before arriving in Edinburgh and they very kindly provided extra tissues in our room which was very much appreciated. We enjoyed the choice of breakfasts on offer sampling the full Scottish breakfast, fishcake and kippers options in addition to the usual breakfast items of cereal and toast. The Townhouse is located with easy access to city centre with plenty of museums and art galleries to visit. We look forward to staying at The Townhouse again in future.

   Perfect location just a short 10-15 minute stroll to the town centre. Ideal for checking out the numerous restaurants and bistros on th he way. Very comfortable stay with excellent hosts Sue and Robert. Ideal if you need parking en route although if only on a trip to Edinburgh I recommend leaving the car at home.

   This has to be one of the best guest houses in Edinburgh. Its set in a former Manse for the church next door and is full of Victorian charm and character lovingly restored by the current owners, Susan and Robert. The room we stayed in was luxurious and had lovely original features but also the latest mod cons. The en-suite was amazing! The service from the owners was exemplary and breakfast was delicious. They were a mine of information about where to go and what to see in Edinburgh. And the price was very reasonable too, cheaper than a lot of hotels in Edinburgh. We parked in the guest house's spacious car park at the rear and either walked into town or got one of the frequent bus services that run past the guest house. All in all it was a faultless experience and we look forward to staying here again.
