Highly recommended for anyone, just the right distance from the city. Bus stop either side of the road within easy walking distance (bus 43 is the most direct). The owners are fantastic and very helpful and accommodating (No pun intended). Great breakfast options and freshly prepared and cooked. The owners cannot do enough for you. Short or long stay this is the place to stay.

Do not stay here if traveling by motorcycle. This guesthouse is frequently targeted by motorcycle thieves - even during the day! In fact I would strongly advise you not to bring your bike in to Edinburgh at all- as theft is very common.

Close to the centre, only 3 miles and a £13 cab ride will get you there. Nice clean rooms with a breakfast that sets you up for the day. The couple that run the guest house are friendly and approachable, what more could you want.

Lovely little guest house about 20 minutes drive from Princes Street and nearest town centre. Self check in was easy and very helpful! Rooms were spotless and super comfy! The owners are extremely kind and lovely people! Breakfast in the morning was tasty and plentiful! Highly recommend!

We stayed in a family room as two adults and two children. The room was a really good size for the four of us. The hosts were absolutely lovely and as we would be arriving quite late the self check in was clearly explained in an email a few days before arrival. Breakfast was ordered in advance and everyone was really pleased with their choices (Although I'm not sure anything on their menu would disappoint!) We used the Acer Lodge as our base for a trip to the zoo, but mainly for a much anticipated concert at murrayfield! We were able to walk to both, although there seemed to be buses from the area if needed. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Edinburgh!

When we got here the owner was rude. The check in time was not stated in any email or on their site. But other than that the room was ok. No taxi service from the lodge into the city centre as we had a night out planned we thought we would hire a cab but no such luck. Maybe when they email you they should state clearly check in/out times other than that it was ok

The rooms where clean, tidy and the service where good. However, the walls are paper thin. We hardly slept for 3 nights because someone was snoring in the next room. Do not recommend this.

A very nice place to stay and the owners very kind, they will check on yu every morning to see if you are ok and you need something. Transport to city is across the road if one is not driving. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburg. The rooms are clean. Stayed for four nights and enjoy my stay. Thank you Acer.

I was down in Edinburgh for a course and came across this place while looking for somewhere cheap to stay. I was worried about noise coming from a small village I find most places in the city can often be too loud luckily for me this place is nice and quiet, you can hear some of the bigger lorries passing the house but it wasn't enough to keep me up at night. The rooms are nice and clean and although I didn't see the hosts much during my stay they were very friendly when I did meet them, one nitpick I would have is that the shower head was leaking not drastically but I did get spirted with cold water when getting a shower. This is a place I'd highly recommend staying at but be quick because rooms are limited. :)

Great price, great location and nice breakfast. £1.70 for a bus into Edinburgh, the houses are regular and simple to catch. My partner and I booked for a spontaneous night away, and at the price we were very happy with what we got. Staff were friendly and accommodating, good off street parking. Clean and practical, tea, coffee, and fridge in the room with a tv. We had a great stay thank you.
