The location of this hotel is incredible!! You are right ON the Royal Mile! Step out the front door and you can see the castle. If you want to be right in the absolute heart of things, this is it. Our room was huge! And we were greeted upon arrival with delicious Scottish chocolate bars. The room includes a dining area, large bedroom and bathroom, living room, and kitchen and sitting room which has in one cupboard a washer/dryer. Itβs more like an apartment . There isnβt an elite lounge, but you can choose breakfast in the charming, adjacent restaurant. Our room looked brand new and was spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay here again!

This (newly) Autograph Collection property is perfectly situated to rest, relax and explore in Old Town. A mere stroll from Wayverly Rail Station and a pleasant walk to New Town areas. My room was a spectacular apartment with kitchen, washer/dryer, massive walk-in shower, and connectivity in spades. I checked in with Nicola and 4 days later he (re)welcomed me by name at checkout without my saying a wordβ¦this is is remarkable service attribute as his memory makes me feel particularly connected to the property on only a single visit. If/when I return to Edinburgh I guarantee staying here again.

We had a two bedroom suite im the new building. Kind of a maze to get to the room and annoying with luggage. Room was okay but not 5 star standard. Rarely did I sit on such an uncomfortable sofa. Was a bit underwhelmed compared as we had high expectations due to high google/booking rating. Location is excellent.

Amazing location, right on the Royal Mile, beautiful hotel, lobby, and dining area.Breakfast was excellent, top tier food and service. So why the 3 Stars? Our toilet didn't flush. I told the front counter about it and they wrote it down on a sticky note and apologized, but that was it. Lucky for us we booked a 2 bedroom suite, so we could cut through the bedroom and use that toilet. When my wife and went out for a late evening for our anniversary we had to wake up my mother to cut through her room and use the toilet before bed. When our son woke up early he also had to wake Grandma up to use the toilet. So it would have been an amazing experience if not for this. We specifically looked for a place where everyone could have their own space, and booked experience based on the fact that everyone would have their own space.

**An Unforgettable Stay β Simply Outstanding!** Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine hospitality that we immediately felt at home. The room was absolutely stunning β beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and offering an unforgettable view of the cathedral that took our breath away. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, and the level of cleanliness was truly exceptional. The breakfast was a real highlight β delicious, fresh, and with a wide variety that left nothing to be desired. But what made our stay truly extraordinary was Paul and his amazing team. Their hospitality goes far beyond what one would expect β they anticipated our every need, made us feel truly special, and delivered a level of service we have never experienced before. Their passion, professionalism, and care are unmatched. This hotel is, without a doubt, *the place to be*. We cannot recommend it highly enough and are already looking forward to our next visit. A heartfelt thank you to Paul and the entire team β you made our stay unforgettable!

We couldnβt be happier with our stay at the Cheval Old town chambers. Itβs a beautiful hotel in a really convenient location for shopping and sightseeing and was a reasonable walking distance from the train. The room we stayed in was super comfortable and spacious with all the amenities included. Above all the staff were the most friendly and accommodating people you could ask for. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything about this hotel is perfect. It's pricey in the peak season though, wish it was more affordable. Nevertheless we had a great experience in our suite. Very quiet rooms and comfortable beds for a good night sleep. Great bathroom and kitchen, clean and well equipped. Nice amenities. Our suite was spacious and had a beautiful view. We loved sitting on the sofa and just taking it all in. Location of the hotel is fantastic. The royal mile is steps away. Lots of restaurants cafes just outside the hotel. Staff are excellent, very welcoming and friendly. A tip for fellow travellers: there are more than one way/path to arrive at the hotel. If you have suitcases with you, and do not want a work out, avoid the path with (what looked like to me) a hundred stairs!

Rating: 8/10 Room: we stayed in one of the luxury one bed rooms. It was as advertised, and really nice. The shower is great. The fridge would be too small for a longer stay, but having a washer/dryer is super handy. The bedroom/living setup is great for comfort and work. Comfort: bed is very comfy. Mostly quiet, but from time to time you can hear people in the corridor outside the room. Amenities: Wifi was great, and the smart TV has everything you might want. Location: great location, easy to walk to things you might want to see in the old town and new town. Price: pretty pricey, but might be worth it to some if staying longer. Other: reception staff were nice!

I had the most amazing week at the Cheval Old Town Chambers. I'd like to mention the lovely woman Emma at the reception desk who was so kind and lovely to me every time I saw her, as well as the rest of the staff who were so welcoming and made me feel very safe. The room I stayed in was absolutely gorgeous and all of the utilities in the room were incredible. The gym is so great. And the location of the hotel is perfect, so central. The lobby/sitting area is also stunning, as well as the restaurant. I truly felt so spoiled :)

A great hotel in the heart of the old town, very close (5 minutes' walk) to the train station. My room was clean, large, and well-furnished, with a complete and stocked kitchen (milk was provided in the fridge), washer/dryer, and dishwasher. It was really a complete studio apartment. The gym was spacious, with good equipment. Rates were very reasonable. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is that the buildings that make up the hotel are labyrinthine, and it can be a challenge to find your way around.
