   The service by the hotel staff blew my mind. A big shout out to Birsen, David and the team who made our 1 night stay so memorable. They went the extra mile to delight us by coordinating with the Housekeeping to decorate our room to celebrate our anniversary ❤️ Their kindness were soooo heartwarming. Please extend our gratitude to the staff. God bless the hotel team.

   We had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express, Royal Mile. Upon arriving a few hours early, David kindly assisted us by storing our luggage and went the extra mile by recommending places to visit in the city, which was extremely helpful. Later, Claudio checked us in efficiently and continued to stand out with his excellent service throughout our stay. At checkout, it was a pleasure to be assisted by both David and Claudio once again. This hotel is truly a must-visit — the team genuinely cares about their guests, and the combination of outstanding service and prime location makes it an excellent choice.

   Great hotel, surprisingly well located for Royal Mile and a waking tour of Edinburgh. The staff were great and the rooms are a high standard. They just need to get their lift sorted (it has a mind of it's own and frequently ends up on the wrong floor...)

   Stayed 2 nights at this hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. It was the most reasonable price on the royal mile. All the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. They made sure our rooms were adjacent to the other family members rooms. The hotel was better than the photos online appeared. While the rooms were small, they were clean and had adequate charging ports . Could use luggage racks as there was no place to really set your luggage except on the floor or bed. Hotel had AC which is not always the case in Scotland. I shared the room with my adult son who had to sleep on the pullout couch. He said it wasn't too bad for a pullout. I wish they had more rooms with two beds. The location was nice, only a short walk to the Royal mile and close to restaurants and pubs. I would stay there again.

   We stayed at this hotel during our visit to Edinburgh and really appreciated the fantastic location—just a short walk to the Royal Mile and very close to the central train station, which made getting around the city super convenient. The room itself was comfortable and clean, and overall the stay was pleasant. However, there were a couple of small service issues that could be improved. The cleaner removed our used towels but unfortunately did not leave new ones, so we had to call down to request replacements (there is no phone in the room, you have to go out into the hallway to use a shared phone if you need anything). At check-in, we were not given the option between a welcome drink or points as a Platinum member—we were automatically assigned points without being asked, and we would have preferred the drink. Overall, while the location is a major highlight, some improvements in housekeeping and front desk communication would make the stay much smoother.

   Wonderfull Hotel. we stayed 4 nights and it was great. Directly on the Royal mile. Best Location ever. Kirsty and her Team are so Sweet and nice. Top Service good Breakfast and very Clean rooms. It was not my last visit here.

   Good hotel /breakfast was amazing// rooms small// front desk was great// the millionaire bars are legendary// Overall a great 5 day stay // if you're from the US. 1. They have the lights attached to a switch. You have to leave your key in it so it works. 2. Read the air conditioner instructions in the plastic thing on the wall. 4 days in a sweat box, it was so hit and uncomfortable, and then I read the instructions ( ha!!) 5th night first great night sleep. Overall, it's a good hotel, but there is no gym to work out in. Only really big negative for me.

   I've stayed in a lot of Holiday Inns, and this one was the only one I've had major issues with. First they got our status level wrong and argued with us about it, we had just come from a different Holiday Inn Express were they recognized our IHG status no issue. Second, they gave us a room directly across from the elevator when we specifically requested one far from an elevator. When we called down to ask for a different room, they told us to come down and they would give us a different room. We went down right away and the person said they couldn't help us until the manager was back which took 30 minutes. Manager was not apologetic. Bad customer service skills, definitely the worst of any holiday inn I've stayed at. Also, maybe don't be so snippy in your responses to negative reviews. If you don't like working in the hospitality industry maybe consider a different career.

   I had booked 5 rooms during the Fringe Festival. We arrived mid morning and upon arrival, Gabriela was one of the ladies at the front desk to great us. She did a great job in helping us get checked in, getting a room for us to leave luggage and checked us in to our rooms for later that day. She gave us suggestions as to where to eat and things to do while we were waiting for the rooms to be ready. Thank you Ms Gabbie. The hotel is in a great location. Close to where you want to be, yet away from the city noise. The rooms are small and simple, but we were only there to sleep. The breakfast was good. The hotel and staff were very great. Thank you for our stay.
