Absolutely brilliant place to stay and eat everything was really good staff were friendly and helpful food and drink was reasonable price I'll recommend this place to anyone and I will be back for sure
Absolutely phenomenal place to stay. Couldn’t recommend anymore. We requested a double bed and we were given t with no issue. Also requested early check in through booking.com as it is usually 2:00. That was carried out for us also no problem. The decor is just stunning. Rooms are large, bathrooms are very small but for a few nights definitely is adequate. There’s Netflix in the rooms as well as kettle and a hairdryer, no bath but an amazing shower. Got free breakfast on the morning and all only cost £70 which is brilliant for the area. Free parking, shopping centre a 5 minute walk away, bus stop across the road that gets you right into the city centre as well as the most friendly host you’ll ever meet. So much better than going to a big branch of hotel. Instead give them a miss and go to this lovely little guest house, save your money and have the most amazing time with hosts to aid your every need.

Stayed with my 14 year old child. The whole place is lovely, clean and the hosts were so so accommodating. Breakfast was perfect. The location is great for getting to the City Centre with regular buses from the stop within 50m. I cannot fault this place. I will be back with the rest of my family next year!
A lovely guest house. Spotless and very comfortable room, great breakfast and friendly and accommodating hosts. Easy access into town as bus stops just outside.
Despite warm welcoming and fairly high standard of the room there are three serious flaws that made me rate it only 3 of 5 stars. I was staying in Alpha on my business trip so as for busy working manager, it's essential for me to have end of the day running smoothly, but the INTERNET connection offered in this Guest House was so laggy and slow that it prolonged my work till late hours. At this time the only option to have evening meal was to order something for delivery, bu the "TAKEAWAY food" is FORBIDDEN in this B&B, and as most of the restaurants are either closed or not within walking distance, ended up on sandwiches. So bare in mind to have an early dinner before stay if you preffer something hot to eat. The other real downside was fact that Alpha is serving BREAKFAST from 8:30am which for working & travelling person is seriously TOO LATE, and no other option was offered (like f.e. packed breakfast) by the owners - even that breakfast was included in the room price. So I will seriously consider these factors before booking again into Alpha Guest House.
Attitude by owner upon arrival was poor. Breakfast at 8.30 not good for workers leaving early and no real options around to have breakfast else were. Rooms tidy and clean and comfy bed. Road noise and noise from other rooms really bad. Also the demand for payment after showing too room is really off putting.
