Normally a fully star review for a premier inn room… however the biggest negative( there is 2)was how filthy it was. The toilet hadn’t seen a cloth for some time, and the shower had hair stuck on the tiles from the previous guest( maybe before then) we arrived to find one of the beds not made which was odd seeing that our check in time was after the official check in. We were told that while we were out it’d get done.. it was, but I don’t like the fact all my belongings were in the room. The room should have been ready. Positives - Bloody quiet!!! I stay in Edinburgh quite a lot and this was my first stay at this premier inn, it was so lovely and quiet, I slept so well with not having glass collection at 5am or lights flashing etc. The staff on reception were lovely and there was also complimentary croissants and tea and coffee for guests plus fruit as the restaurant was shut. Location is fabulous for getting to the shops or the hubbub of the city. Close to restaurants as well. If the bathroom and bed had been made it would be all the stars.

nice and clean hotel. nothing overly special obviously but perfectly good for a short stay. well located with us able to walk to every thing we’ve wanted to do in edi. restaurant shut atm but there are so many restaurants and bakeries that would serve a customer significantly better than a hotel breakfast.

One of the better Premier inn's we have stayed at. Spacious rooms, amazing view of the city. They were undergoing renovations to the dining area whilst we visited so can't comment on the breakfast. But they had a complimentary coffee and tea service at the front desk and some breakfast pastries. Staff were wonderful and very knowledgeable regarding the local area.

This is an excellent hotel for the price. As soon as we arrived, we were well greeted and given tourist information about the area. The rooms were clean, breakfast was tasty and the price was reasonable for the area. The only negative is the free wifi was terrible or purposely throttled as the hotel wanted guests to pay for the premium wifi. Regardless of the slow internet, we would come back to this hotel on our next stay in Edinburgh.

This place is a real mixed bag. I live in Europe and the hotel chain is considered a very good 3-4 star hotel chain with modern amenities and high quality rooms. This however was not what we go here. This was like the company purchased an old hotel and then slapped on its branding and applied the needed room colours and that was it. There is no reception, instead it's a self service check-in process. The rooms themselves do look like Premier Inn rooms, that is until you look more closely. The room has glass panels for windows that are not able to be opened so there is no way to get fresh air into the room. And then there is the bathroom... These come straight out if a 1 star hotel, at best! The toilet paper is not a roll, but instead folded sheets that you might find in a public toilet or shopping mall toilet! Then there was the mould! As you can see in the photos, there is clear mould on the roof and you can also see where the roof has been previously planned to try and remove the mould, but it has simply grown back. The condition of the bathroom was very poor with clear disrepair and obvious water damage. This is completely unacceptable. It's clear to see that the reason for the mould is the very poor ventilation as the bathroom gets very steamed very quickly and again there is no air flow except for the constant air-conditioning. Location is good, but I would not stay here again.

Rooms are clean and bright. I booked a twin room. Got a double bed and a single bed. Pillows were a bit hard for me. Room is nice and warm with a heating and cool controller on the wall. Tiny open wardrobe to hand clothes. Not sufficient space but dont let that put you off. Bathroom had bath with shower. Complimentary body wash and hand soap...no shampoo so I had to go out and buy some. Complimentary buffet was great...I chose the hot food buffet...sausages, eggs, bacon, hash browns, beans and mushrooms, parties, toast, croissants, fruit, cereal, pancakes, team and coffee or juices. Great start to the day!! Location is superb as right in the town and walking distance to all shops and eateries etc. Will definitely choose this hotel if I visit Edinburgh again.

Stayed for I night , 2 rooms, to go to the Playhouse Theatre. Myself and daughter-in-law walk with sticks and the distance was no problem. The rooms were very comfortable and spotless. We had the meal deal and this was excellent value for money. Thank you everyone, hope to be back again.

Location of this hotel was perfect for our visit to the Playhouse and within easy walking distance. The rooms were clean and comfortable and to the expected standard. We were also able to get gluten free toast in the morning was a welcome find as it is not always available

Best hotel I’ve stayed in when visiting Edinburgh. Room was very spacious, clean and bed was super super comfortable. Kettle to make cup of tea and coffee. A nice bath. Breakfast was really nice. The room had such a relaxing vibe, I didn’t want to leave.

I enjoyed staying here. The location is GREAT! You're right in the heart of the city centre, it doesn't get much better than that. The environment is pretty clean, reception staff were very helpful to me, and the breakfast was nice, with a reasonable variety of selections of food. Keep in mind, however, that this is not included in your accommodation fee, and you have to pay additionally for breakfast. Food served ranges from bacon, eggs, baked beans, and others in a buffet. There is no room service unless you specifically request it, which isn't a bad thing in my opinion. Additionally, there's a provision for luggage storage before or after your check-in or checkout, which is very convenient. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here.
