Perfect stay for a visit to Scotland. Short journey to both Edinburgh and Glasgow by train but the town has so much history itself making it a worthwhile visit. Room I stayed in was split level courtyard room and made it easier for my mother to step out for a smoke whenever she wished, just stepped out into the courtyard. The room has everything you need and is very modern.

I recently stayed at The Court Residence in Linlithgow in a two bedroom apartment and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, Jim, the owner/manager made me feel welcome with his warm hospitality and attention to detail. The rooms were spacious, elegantly decorated, and impeccably clean. I especially appreciated the luxurious bathroom and quirky 'prison cell' bedroom with mood lighting. The complimentary breakfast basket with milk, juice & eggs in the fridge were a lovely touch. Jim organised a taxi transfer for me through a local company called RM Taxis, operated by the owner Ray. Ray was nothing short of remarkable in assisting me with transfers to & from my destination, and keeping me updated via a chat app. Whether you're visiting Linlithgow for business or leisure, The Courthouse Residence offers a perfect blend of classic charm and modern comfort, and if you want to travel locally then RM Taxi's are my choice . I’ll definitely be returning.

A well-located hotel in Linlithgow and a perfect base for a 20-minute train ride into Edinburgh with the train station just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Linlithgow is pretty, with the palace (birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots), the canal, and the large lake worth visiting. The studio we were in (#7) is on three levels - the main bedroom being downstairs and the bathroom (and spare bed) being upstairs from the living area/kitchenette. The stairs are narrow and steep so be mindful as you'll be going up and down a lot while you're staying there. Breakfast is provided in the studio and, while basic, is adequate for a light start to the day. The studio is clean and tidy and functional. There are two TVs, one in the living area and one in the downstairs bedroom. The bed was firm, the water hot, and overall it was a very nice studio.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Court Residence in Linlithgow! The host was incredible — they even gave us a personal tour of the apartment, which was such a nice touch. The place was spacious, beautifully maintained, and the bathtub was deep and perfect for relaxing. We were so impressed with all the little extras — eggs and milk in the fridge, a fruit basket, and breakfast goodies with coffee and snacks. You can tell a lot of thought goes into making guests feel welcome. If I had to nitpick, a ceiling fan to help circulate air and maybe one more chair in the living room would be nice, but honestly, that’s minor. The location is fantastic — walking distance to everything. Highly recommend this place; we’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Split level apartment relatively well equipped with breakfast hamper a nice touch! Our hob was broken so we had a portable one for the 9 days we stayed, a little inconvenient as it took up more space but still functional for making meals. Good wifi. Good water pressure and temp in shower. Bedrooms are small but functional. Note there are no windows to open for breeze. Was granted access to do laundry due to length of stay. Staff was very friendly and checked in daily if we needed anything. Location is perfect in the center of town, next door to the museum and across the street from The Cross and Palace. Would recommend and would stay again.

Just book it. This place is great! Rooms are comfy, clean and well stocked. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The price is reasonable and the location is perfect: from a couple of minutes walk to cafes and restaurants to a 5 minute walk to the train station that takes you to Edinburgh, Glasgow and beyond.

Amazing comfortable and spacious room, it felt like a home from home and my husband and kids loved the room too. On arrival we had milk, bread, eggs, cereal, hot drinks, juice and more which was really convenient especially with children in tow. Rainfall style shower was brilliant, loads of plug sockets and usb charging sockets too, again when you have your own devices and kids as well it was nice not to have to share. Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at, considering I used to have to travel a lot for work that’s saying a lot

Great stay, wonderful room, wonderful hosts. Good location in the heart of Linlithgow, very close to the rail station (5 minute walk)for access to Edinburgh. Trains every 15mins. Room was very stylish, we had the smallest room but it was a very decent size. Bed was super comfy, bath shower was very good with excellent water pressure. Heated mirrors was a nice touch and underfloor heating. Room also had a small place to make food with fridge and some basic food stuff was provided with the room rate. Room was very very clean. Hotel was quiet and had private parking. Lots of bars and cafes to grab some breaky at. The Four Mary’s pub is excellent for a pint. Shout out to Jim the host for creating a great welcoming apart hotel. Sorry no photos but it was as the website.
