Very helpful front desk. No lift but Karlite from the front office efficiently helped with all our 8 luggages. A cosy and clean place, the 2 bedroom apartment is spacious and centrally located.
Centrally located this boutique hotel was simply perfect for exploring Edinburgh. We came primarily for the Christmas Market but found the city so much more interesting. The hotel has wonderful staff and the room we enjoyed was perfect. We had a castle view and a lavish small suite. We dined at the Witchery which had a fabulous atmosphere and staff. The food was delicious but the cocktails and wine a little less so. We dined also at the Bow Bar for a wonderful afternoon pie and Pint. There might have been a cheeky whiskey too from their expansive collection. Dean village is beautiful and a short walk. The underground Pander and Sons cocktail lounge was amazing as was Hey Palu . Both had great staff and drinks.
Booked for a city break with the perfect location. We were both thrilled with the apartment and cannot thank the team there enough as they were so helpful and welcoming. The space was beautiful & so much more than we expected, with incredible grand high ceilings in a boutique setting. When we visit again we won’t be staying anywhere else. Thank you again & look forward to seeing you soon.
We had the most incredible stay at The Rutland last weekend. Jill gave us such a lovely warm welcome and ensured we were settled in with everything we needed. We had an apartment with the highest ceilings I’ve ever seen but it was so cosy. It even had a fireplace which you could control from a remote. Very well appointed, with a fully stocked kitchen. Everything was spotlessly clean. I don’t normally ever sleep well away from home but the bed was so comfy and the room was quiet despite being so centrally located. Gorgeous castle views and just a short walk around to The Huxley for breakfast.
Really enjoyed our stay here, was nice to be in our own apartment but still have it serviced every day! Well stocked kitchen and mini bar with lots of choice, daily free waiter and milk for teas and coffees Beds and pillows were very comfortable and nil outside noise during night. We were on top floor and although only two flights of stairs it might be hard going if you have knee/back problems. All staff we encountered were lovely and approachable

We stayed here with our family for our wedding. Got a suite for ourselves and 3 appartments for our guests. The rooms were all absolutely stunning! Staff were super helpful at all times and we even got a wee present on the big day. Will hapily stay there again in the future!
Fabulous apartment-style accommodations in excellent location. Had a small issue with water heater when we arrived and staff was quick and efficient getting it repaired. Loved everything about our stay! Would definitely recommend!
The Hotel itself seemed to be good. But do not go in Room 7. We had this room, and it was directly over the kitchen. There was a very loud an annoying hum during the whole night, which prevents a good sleep, and when at 6:30 the ventilation is switched on, you feel like your room is situated directly over the machine-room of the steam-ship. Even the floor vibrates. ABSOLUTELY NOT ACCEPTABLE. After complaining in the morning a lot of excuses, and the statement, that they had this room out of sale because of the unbearable noise. But for a reason the manager did not know, why it was for sale again. After that a mail arrived, that I will get 20% in the next stay - which is ridiculous. There will be no next stay. To sell such a room for that price is unserious! But: Good Breakfast!
