An absolutely great 5 star hotel experience! The hotel itself is perfectly decorated and designed, built from several buildings and walking through feels like a maze. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. The service is just perfect. I truly enjoyed the stay here and definitely will come again!

Thank goodness for the Virgin Hotel! The room was immaculate, the design was truly stunning. Quality in its simplicity, loads of plugs and the light switch was never more than a reach away. The service was impeccable, delivered with everything we needed. We stayed in a Junior Suite - so the minibar was fully complimentary. It was stocked with Coke, Irn Bru, tonic, iced coffee - and full size champagne, red/white wine, gin and some smaller whiskey and vodka bottles. Being vegans, we had crisps, jelly beans, vegan chocolate. Basically: everything we could ask for! There was also free cocktails in the bar for an hour, and we had 2 free drink tokens. Excellent. The bed was to die for, one of the comfiest I've ever been in. Out of our window we had an excellent view of the most colourful street in Edinburgh, and a short walk away was a rooftop view of Edinburgh castle, lit up for Christmas. ❤️

We had a wonderful experience! Everything form start to finish was perfect. Even my boyfriends request to put roses into my room got fulfilled. (+ a very sweet and pretty card). Lobby was perfect to relax and read. The room was very quiet, although the hotel is very central. The breakfast had a good variety. The bar is perfect for a drink before dinner. Thank you for this fantastic time!

You must stay at this hotel! Not only is the location absolutely perfect, the room is so smartly designed and the beds were so comfortable. The decor was absolutely fantastic as well. Despite its location, the hotel was very quiet. The staff were super wonderful and helpful, and gave us great recommendations for food and drink along with some fun history about Edinburgh (a special shout-out to Martin). Would stay here again 10/10

This hotel saved our honey moon trip to Edinburgh in October after our original hotel turned out to be a dump. The staff got us a room quickly and treated us amazingly after they heard about the other hotel fiasco and made our stay super memorable. We will definitely stay again next time we are in town. Props again to the staff for welcoming us, getting us a very nice room and making our stay feel very special. Really great location as well.

My room was extremely comfortable as was my bed and immaculately clean. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent as was the service. Fabulously stylish hotel both inside and out with the perfect combination of old and new. I particularly loved the stunning library along with the incredible bar. Fabulous location right in the heart of the city. I would certainly return and highly recommend to anyone.

This is a brand new hotel which opened in June. While there are still some kinks to work out, mostly at check in and breakfast service, our experience overall was fantastic. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and unique. The mini bar can’t be beat in terms of options, like canned cocktails and well priced quality wine. The hotel itself is quirky and unique and the location is unbeatable. We will definitely be staying here again!

This is a very beautiful hotel. Gorgeous, top service rooms. The staff is amazing. Very helpful. The lounge/restaurant was fantastic. Virgin Hotel is perfectly located in Old Town and the walk to Edinburgh Castle is just 5 minutes. Just one caution, don't touch anything from the mini bar - even the water - or you'll be charged. We do highly recommend you stay at the Virgin. It's magnificent.

Stayed there for 4 nights. Overall, our stay was enjoyable. The staff were polite and attentive. The rooms were spacious and the amenities were great. Breakfasts were also really nice. Ryan frequently served us at the breakfast and he was very friendly and efficient (thanks for the great service!) My only complaints are: (1) uncomfortable pillows - squeeze them and they become completely flat, like a 2D geometric shape with no height, almost paper thin and (2) broken in-room phone: I had to go downstairs to speak to the receptionist every time I needed something. Would consider staying there again in the future.
