Edlets was the best company I encountered when looking for a place to stay n Edinburgh. Very professional, responsive and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend them.
We stayed at 13/1 Frederick Street from 22 to 24 July 2025 as a stopover on our way to the Highlands. The apartment is located on a side street off Princess Street. The apartment was simply fantastic. It is tucked away inconspicuously in a side alley, and when you enter the stairwell, you don't know exactly where it will lead you. But as soon as you open the door to the apartment, you immediately feel at home. The apartment is stylishly furnished. Three bathrooms, a large living room. An immense kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Everything was very clean. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for this wonderful experience and we will gladly come back again.
My family and I stayed at the Dundonald Apartment for four nights at the end of September 2024 and would not recommend this experience to anyone as it did not live up to our expectations at all. Among other issues such as worn towels and a leaking fridge, the overall cleaning was not satisfactory to us and especially the toilets felt disgusting. But our biggest issue was with how damp the apartment felt. The air felt thick and moist and at night it became worse. We thought about moving to a hotel, but with two small babies we decided to make the best of what we had received and not waste our short holiday on moving and all the hassle connected with that. After our stay we wrote to Edlets about our experienced issues during our stay and asked for a fair compensation, which we thought would be quickly accepted due to our issues being so obvious. However, this was not the case at all. We felt that Edlets did not care about or agree with any of the issues we experienced during our stay and seemed more focused on the fact that we did not complain during our stay. Especially during our phone calls with Edlets about the compensation the tone felt hostile and even threathening at one point. In the last e-mail we received from Edlets before they stopped answering us, they finally seemed to acknowledge several of the issues we had experienced and described how they had fixed them. However, we never received any compensation perhabs because we insisted on writing a review about our experiences anyway. Furthermore, we are still waiting on receiving back our deposit, but maybe it is normal for this to take weeks. Based on the experience of living in the Dundonald Apartment as we received it along with one of the most unprofessional and unpleasant customer service experiences we have tried, it is safe to say that we are not using Edlets again.
I don't seem alone in my experience after reading others reviews, sadly. Found a property on Airbnb which fit our groups requirements and thought I would book direct as they advertised a cheaper rate for doing so. Unfortunately this was not the case, quoting far more than what I would have paid on Airbnb. When attempting to book on Airbnb they blocked my proposed dates, jacked up the price and messaged me to say they think they could get more money for the property given it will be school holidays. Quite painfully they wasted over a week of my time, initially seeming keen to get my business. In a way I'm glad things didn't work out as to have so many issues and concerns at this early stage is a red flag.
Human staff = Very good! Quick to respond. Quick to give help. Quick to give advice. Gave good rental possibilities. They used cheerful every day language to communicate. I hope to have future dealings with EdLets staff!
The people at Edlets were very patient and talked me through all the different accommodation options, in the end we booked a nice 2 bed on the Royal mile.
Edlets made the booking process easy, we were sent many options and we booked on-line. The Edlets staff were really helpful when it came to making our final choice.
We always use Edlets when visiting Edinburgh.They have been in business for many years and I trust them. The web site is easy to use with a great range of accommodation and staff are friendly and knowledgeable
Hi, I've stayed with Edlets in a large apartment shared with friends. The apartment was as described, with private access from the street. It was interesting how the Edlets staff knew the apartment, I guess it gives you a competitive advantage to focus on one city. All went smooth.
