I ve been a tenant with them for 2 years. Communication has been sometimes not great. They sometimes gave very generic answers to my questions which resulted useless and sometimes they forgot to carry out maintenance jobs. Generally speaking everything went good and I would have given a higher review if it wasn't for how they handled the deposit. They tried to charge me for tiny things which clearly were fair wear and tear and asked me around 70£ to clean some very tiny bits which the cleaner i had hired had forgotten. It took the cleaner less than 30 minutes to clean what they requested (which was extremely tiny as water ring in the sink). It s a shame they were so picky and tried to take advantage when they had to give back the deposit, aside for this I can't complain
We have rented from Home Sweet Home in Edinburgh since June 2019 and I have to say they are brilliant. From the very first moment that we got in touch with them, throughout the months and now, dealing with the unusual times we are living in, they have been extremely supportive, patient and above all friendly. The team take care of their tenants, and always respond promptly to emails and are always there to help when needed. I am glad that we found this agency as others do not seem to have the personal approach with tenants and you can really feel the difference here and trust Home Sweet Home to actually care that you are happy and comfortable in your rented accommodation. We moved our flat to Home Sweet Home from a much larger management outfit because we found that both we and the property were forgotten about, other than the commission being taken every month. Dan and his team at Home Sweet Home we’re a breath of fresh air. Nothing seemed too much trouble, everything is taken care of, and the tenant has confidence in the team. When the boiler needed replacing Dan was able to recommend an installer who not only saved us thousands ( over BG) but also installed a far superior product and a 12 year warranty.
