Sadly this was an extremely stressful process for me, albeit it was easy to book an appointment and it all ran on time ( hence the 2 stars instead of 1) but the website was not up to date on certain elements for the requirements for a child's first passport- albeit we managed to get around the issue and the man was very helpful, what was not helpful was on the day of my appointment I had the birth certificate of my husband and they never asked to see it and low and behold a week later I am being asked to post this document in. I was applying for 2 x passports for my two children and had to send my husband birth certificate twice ( an extra cost of Β£18) as for no apparent reason the passports were been checked in two different offices! I paid for a ONE week express service ( Β£133 per child, so x2) at a premium price and it took OVER 1 month to get my children their passports - so all I can advise is ensure you have PLENTY of time and do not bother with paying a premium service as you will be unlikely to get this service. On top of all this, after my physical appointment all correspondence is done via letter, which is ridiculous in this day and age. My advise, try not to use the Glasgow passport office, it was all vert stressful and inefficient.

If I could rate 10 stars I would. I turned up to the passport office without an appointment after a mess up with my application. I wasnt hopeful as it was partly my fault for losing my tracking number. I was let in after explaining my situation and the manager came over to help me. I didnt catch his name i was so anxious about the situation. He checked my application and then he personally withdrew my application and reported my passport lost so I could apply for a fast track passport. He spoke me through how to do this and then gave me a ticket for an appointment there and then so I can hopefully fly next week. People who genuinely want to help is rare these days I really appreciate it. Thank you.

I was in a desparate situation havin lost my passport, and was due to go on holiday (which had been paid for) in a few days. I decided to travel from the East of Scotland to the Glasgow Passport office in the hope that I could get information which would allow me the get a new passport at short notice. I wasnt very hopeful to be honest and was in danger of losing my 4 week holiday (£££££) I hadnt made an appointment, but when iIexplained my predicament, The office manager David came out to see me and personaly took me through the passport application , on my smartphone, he contacted references I gave him, filled out all the neccesary details and even took my Photo with my phone, I was so impressed, I left the office with the application completed and my Passport arrived 4 days later, this was the best service I have ever experienced , what a result thank you so much. I damaged my passport on the way home from a trip last week. I had to apply for an emergency one as I’m due to fly again elsewhere this week and so went on a trip to Scotland’s passport office. I went for the 7-day fast track and it took only 48 hours from appointment to receiving it by post. I’m very impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, thank you!

All I can say is exceptional!!! After travelling from south England to them to get passport renewed. I Cannot believe how efficient and pleasant this place is to deal with. Had a major issue and they were so kind and supportive. If I have to use the service then I would happily travel to them. Shame I can’t give 10 stars Worth the trip. Scottish people’s hospitality in general was amazing. Scots you should feel proud of your country

Excellent service from the passport office today. My mum had an appointment at 12pm and met by a helpful security man who checked her details and showed her to the waiting area. After 15 minutes we were called to Kiosk 5 and had her application fully checked by an efficient polite young lady who made the process seamless. A great example of a well run efficient and customer focused government service keep up the great work.

20th Feb 2023 - A Big Thank you to Andrea at kiosk 3. Despite the passport office being very busy and my overhearing some difficult people before me Andrea was super friendly, professional and good humoured. She was able to see me at my exact appointment time and was really quick in processing my two renewals. Great service , thanks!

Fantastic example of how a Government office should be run. Having arrived incredibly stressed and worried I would miss an important trip after losing my passport, everyone was calm, polite, friendly and understanding. From the lovely man on the door doing security checks, to the friendly, efficient lady who processed my application and reassured me. Thank you all.

Had my passport stolen 2 days before I was due to fly. Drove there 1st thing without an appointment and was lucky enough to meet Alec behind the desk. He sorted me out with an express passport (4 hour wait) and comforted me in an extremely stressful situation. Eternally grateful!! And the people doing the G4S at the door were so friendly and helpful too!! Well done all, good to know there are still some good eggs out there ❀️

Cannot fault the service from the passport office. We got a phone call at 7am to say we can pick up a passport in Glasgow in the afternoon, which we had done by 4.30pm. although there were queues out the door, the staff were all friendly and very helpful, considering nearly every single person comes and asks the same 2 questions all day long. We arrived at 4pm and were out and on route home by 4.45pm. very good service and a pleasant surprise.
