My eldest son went to this nursery and loved every minute of it, so it was an easy choice to send my youngest too. The staff are amazing, so kind, caring and welcoming, and they always go the extra mile for the children. Both of my boys have thrived here, and they’re always so excited to go in each day. It honestly feels like a little family, and I couldn’t imagine a better place for them to start their journey.

My son had a mostly positive experience at this preschool and made some lovely memories during his time there. A huge thank you to Miss Christian and Miss James, who were both absolutely fantastic. They made Sonny feel welcome, safe, and supported from the beginning, and I can’t fault their care or the way they engaged with him. He really enjoyed being in their class, and as a parent, that meant a lot to me.
However, there were a few concerns that I feel are important to share. During potty training, Sonny had a few accidents — which is completely normal at that stage — but unfortunately, on several occasions, he soaked through his clothes, socks, and even his shoes. Instead of being changed into properly fitting spare clothes or having us contacted, he was often dressed in clothes and shoes that were far too big for him. This happened more than once, and it was upsetting to see him so uncomfortable when it could have been avoided with a bit more attention.
The most disappointing experience was when the preschool organised a leavers’ trip that Sonny wasn’t invited to. A staff member even told him directly that he wasn’t allowed to go, which was really hurtful and confusing for him. Regardless of the reason, it could have been handled with much more sensitivity. No child should be made to feel left out like that — especially in a setting that’s meant to be nurturing and inclusive.
Overall, while there were definitely positives thanks to the efforts of individual staff, I do hope the preschool reflects on some of these experiences and makes improvements. Every child deserves to feel fully included, cared for, and treated with dignity — especially during these important early years.

Since joining Play B C Preschool, we’ve seen such a positive change in my daughter. My son spent a year at Play Bc before full time school and it was an amazing year from him! After lockdown I was very concerned about him socially as he can be very quiet and shy but he came along leaps and bounds coming home talking about playing with friends and sharing the activities he would do. The staff are excellent at communicating with parents, being made aware of all the topics they are studying so you can integrate them at home. If they are hurt, you are given very accurate information. I thought the range of activities and special days were so varied and always appreciated the photos, observations and progress assessments I received. All staff (of which there is a high ratio of) are warm and friendly and I knew my child was safe and happy there everyday. I would recommend PlayBc to any parents without any doubt!

My daughter has thrived at BC Preschool, I can honestly say that I have complete peace of mind when I know she is there.
The teachers are tentative, kind and considerate and acknowledge every child the same. No child gets overlooked.
The activities that are set are engaging and carefully thought out, in addition to this, communications are sent back to parents to help continue the activity for the week at home.
The newsletters are very informative and help guide me on how best to help my child thrive.
Observations are shared with parents through an online tool which you as a parent can also update with activities we do outside of nursery and they are acknowledged and commented on which is refreshing.
The communication overall, even on a daily basis is second to none and the teachers are very skilled at managing and helping them through the settling in phase or days where they are a little more sensitive.
It is also nice that they do their best to ease any worry of the parent as they leave.
The environment feels safe and the ratio of carers to children is well balanced.
Some lovely little excursions are arranged and parents can join on occasion to help out.
Great place to prepare a child for the bigger schools as everything that is planned is prepared with this in the mind to make it an easier transition.
