Appalling. Waiting absolutely ages to be served . It was not particularly busy but the number of staff was clearly inadequate and staff are incredibly slow spending ages in the back or at the desk. They have a ticket system but don’t abide by it. Never again!
Really disappointed...went on a weekday when it was quiet, first time going for my 14 month old first shoe fitting. They brought over the measuring device, just aggressively grabbed his foot and tried to put it in, didnt even say hello or try talking to him first, he of course started to cry as he doesnt know who they are or what they are doing again they said nothing, I then took over and held his foot in place etc there was just no interaction and left just feeling disappointed as it wasn't the experience I had hoped. They werent even going to give me the box that says 'first shoes' where you can put their name inside as a keepsake.
Left leaving disappointed. We arrived at a busy Clark’s, grabbed a ticket and proceeded to wait. It was absolute chaos but everyone was being seen to in a timely manner. So the reason for my visit was to check the measurements of my 2yr old daughter and have my 1yr old son’s first measurements done so we could buy him his first pair of shoes. We left with zero shoes. It came around to our turn to be seen. A lovely member of staff came over and asked how she could help. I explained the reason for our visit, she got us to take a seat to where she proceeded to measure my daughter’s feet, fine. She then went on to measure my son’s feet, it wasn’t easy. She tried for all of 1-2 minutes and went red and said he’s almost a 4, in between 3.5-4, no width measurement given and then as she went to walk away, asked if I needed anything else (I had already said we were there to buy his first pair of shoes). We left with no shoes for my son. I was so disappointed as the staff member in the rainbow top was giving amazing customer service, sitting on the floor, talking with the parents with their customers and I got this unhelpful other staff member that was just doing bare minimum. My sons first shoe appointment ruined. I know it was a busy bank holiday weekend but we’d waited patiently to have the same service as other but got zero attentiveness or care.
Great experience here extremely friendly staff. Student discount 15% all year round also blue light card also accepted instore. Great sale on and outstanding quality compared to other shoe shops in the mall. Great disabled access as the store is very well laid out and free from obstacles too. The staff go out of their way to help and make you feel welcome thank you staff
I visited the store today with my daughter who needed a pair of new shoes. I was greeted by Abi who was a really friendly, built rapport naturally and was able to get my daughter in a new pair of trainers in no time. It was a really good retail experience!
Brilliant place to shop, very helpful staff. They have a ticket system for the children's shoes which is a lot easier than a staff member having multiple customers at one time
Large shop and good variety of styles. Clarkes shoes are not cheap but you get what you pay for. Helpful staff and good selections of sizes.
Called in this morning, found two pairs of shoes I liked, asked for help with different sizes, assistant Susan totally brilliant, nothing was too much trouble, several pairs of shoes brought out, and all done with a cheerful manner. My only complaint - it took me ages to find where I could write a review! Perhaps include a link on receipts?
Visited Clarks yesterday to get the kids feet measured and buy school shoes. Having been in there for a few minutes we left after we couldn't find any staff who wanted to assist. Photos taken of both sides of the store to show no staff present.
