Sadly I cannot recommend this pharmacy at all. It is very badly run and nobody takes responsibility as yet to change it. Today I went for the 6th time for my prescription after having been told last time that it would be ready today. However, due to no pharmacist available today I was sent home again empty handed. It is simply irresponsible and uncaring.

Went into the chemist this morning after my medication not being ready yesterday after getting told to come back after 2 so they can make it up! Which they didn’t! Saying I need to go in at 9.30 which is not okay and not being rude when I said you should put up a sign! She said I don’t need too. From the pharmacist to the girls behind the counter all standing saying stuff about me when I was there and could hear the. I am disgusting and will be taking it all the way and after the pharmacist being late, they then proceeded to talk about me and saying rude and hurtful and things it was like a flashback of the mean girls in high school. After the pharmacist being late she walked out of a busy shop to go and get coffee for everyone. And no need for anyone t be made to feel like that just going to your pharmacy and mean everyone of them So Totally unprofessional

Waited in the queue for 30 mins, only for them to faff about behind the counter laughing while, a line of people gathered 2 get a prescription. For a chemist 2 have no aspirin in stock seems like a joke. But then for the staff to start arguing with serving customers, blaming the doctors for their own faults. Very obnoxious and rude place to go only for needed and essential medication

Knew there are problems here so waited 14 days before going to collect prescription which is collected automatically by Lloyds Newtongrange from my docs. First time shop had closed early. Second time waited 20 mins in queue, fair enough it's a busy, no problem. Health worker in front of me who had queued for longer went to hand over prescription slips and was told that they were unable to accept anymore and would have to try another pharmacy. I was told my tabs not ready and realistically would not be ready till end of next week at the earliest which would mean my prescription had been with them for 21 days. I had no more tablets left, assistant did say didn't want me to be without tablets and said I could take my prescription away to try elsewhere, I had no other choice but to do this. Phoned Lloyds pharmacy at Mayfield at 11.40am and they checked they had my tabs in stock and said if I brought them the prescription before their lunchtime they would get it ready to collect after 4pm. Dropped prescription with them at 12 noon, went up at 4pm and was told just being done and a few minutes later was handed tabs. So 21 days at the earliest for Newtongrange Lloyds or 4 hours at Mayfield Lloyds. My docs will not allow me to order my repeat prescription a month in advance so I will now cancel the service of my prescription going to Newtongrange. Nobody is winning here not the staff (who I totally sympathise with) and not the people needing prescriptions it would be better off closed but that's not fair on those that don't have transport and appreciate having pharmacy local to them that they can walk to.

Seem to close and open when they please. Never seem to do the prescriptions when they come in. Only when someone comes for them do they then look them out and say come back later for it - regardless of how long they have had it. Refuse to answer the phone - infact it’s just permanently off the hook. Doctors can’t do anything about it either. Sort this pharmacy out lloyds. It’s not the staffs fault that are there it’s the fact they don’t have enough to cover the hours required to be open when supposed to!

I was waiting for a repeat medication, I had waited 8 days after I had ordered the medication, I had tried phoning for 3days with no answer. I am supposed to have my medication delivered, but having waited this length of time I went to the pharmacy. When I got to pharmacy, I asked the receptionist what had happened to my medication, she said that there was only two members of staff and that they had fallen two weeks behind. I did ask why nobody answered the phone, I got the lack of staff excuse. I was asked to wait while they located my prescription, I waited 12minuets before finally I got my medication. I am sure there is older people with more problems than I have, what about them.

Shop shut without warning leaving customers needing prescriptions in trouble. Pharmasists not turning up, taking till 1pm to find a locum to step in. Not just one shop, 3 I know of within 20 mile radius are all having same problems. Can't be good to work for they're always struggling to get staff, while waiting heard one pharmacist telling a locum there's no help from head office, inexperienced managers being dangled the carrot being put into troubled shops then left to get on with it.
