I visited this pharmacy last night to pick up my mum’s medication, and the staff were extremely helpful and informative. They explained everything clearly and made sure all the necessary checks were done. Really appreciated their care and professionalism.
Have used this pharmacy for years and can't fault them. I find them to be respectful and professional. They do very well in what can be pretty stressful conditions. Yes, on occasion they have had to close earlier due to staff sickness but they always call or text to let you know if you have a collection that day. Have always found them very helpful and kind.
Most unreliable pharmacy - they’ve been closed several times throughout the last few months. Very inconvenient when collecting prescription that’s sent to them directly from my GP so I can’t even go elsewhere to get essential medication. People were always nice though, can’t fault them but if you don’t have enough staff to cover the hours, just change the hours and be open about it.
Appalling experience. The pharmacist I spoke with was rude, offhand and not even remotely interested in helping me. Her attitude was of just shrugging her shoulders and making it clear that she really couldn't be bothered to help me. Fortunately for me, I went to Broughton Pharmacy after that where I received proper care, manners, some basic human decency as well as professionalism. I would really recommend avoiding the pharmacy section of this Tesco store.
Why do people like to use a pharmacy in a supermarket? Because they like to get their shopping and pharmacy pick up done at the same time, and because opening hours are longer than at other pharmacies. But opening hours have been really short for months due to staff shortages, and they are often out of stock.

I recently handed in a prescription at this pharmacy after returning from a holiday overseas which unfortunately necessitated hospital treatment. When I handed in my prescription, I was told there would be a wait. I went away for fifteen minutes and drank two cups of coffee in the store's coffee shop . I duly returned to the pharmacy counter to collect my prescription and was nonchalently told by a Counter Assistant that my prescription was in the queue waiting to be done. As there are more efficient pharmacies in the area, I requested the return of my prescription and the Assistant had the effrontery to enquire, "Are you sure?" I should have been offered an explanation as to why the prescription was not ready within a reasonable time of it being handed in as opposed to being offered an authoritarian fait accompli. It is never a good idea for any business, including Tesco, to take anyone's custom for granted. What concerns me most is that in order to obtain an explanation for this service failure, I had to contact Tesco Head Office to speak to the Pharmacy Superintendent who advised that the delayed occurred as a result of a Doctor's Surgery telephoning to discuss medication with the pharmacist. I am at a loss to understand why the Shop Assistant who served me did not advise me in these terms when my prescription was not ready. Instead, she failed to give any indication how much longer I would have to wait to obtain my medication before I could return home and manage the dreadful pain of a trapped nerve in my neck. I find it hard to believe that any doctor telephoning a pharmacy to discuss medication would be on the telephone for a full fifteen minutes- friends of mine who are medics tell me that such conversations tend to be brief.
This pharmacy, and I am assuming other Tesco pharmacies, are having issues with suppliers. On two occasions now, they have taken my prescription and informed me that they need to order the items. Four days later I have then been informed that due to wholesalers no longer supplying Tesco, they cannot dispense the prescription. I assumed the first time it was a one off but this is obviously a recurring issue and is concerning especially if someone is in need on an urgent item and doesn't have four days to waste while they "pretend" they can get you the items.
