   Appauling service at this pharmacy. Waited over two weeks for an out of stock item, and found today they had a suitable alternative available all that time. Then had to wait over an hour for them to sort that out. Text service seems to be non existent these days. Unacceptable for a medical service. Will be using a different one from now on there seems to be no standard of service here anymore

   An absolutely shambolic operation. It was fine until it was taken over by Lindsay and Gilmour and it's gone rapidly downhill since. I'm supposed to get text notifications when my prescriptions are ready however this rarely happens. I checked my details with them before and they blamed technical issues. That was months ago and they still blame technical issues. My wife went for my prescription yesterday and came back without the medication I requested but did have medication I hadn't requested. I went this afternoon and the medication was there all along, they just didn't know there were two items in my name. Farcical.

   After the wrong prescription was issued, I was made to feel at fault and a very belligerent attitude was taken by the staff and manager. After it was made clear that the call was being recorded and I wasn't happy with their negligent misconduct, the attitude softened. A huge inconvenience was caused, but what was more concerning is the pharmacy didn't seem to think issuing incorrect prescriptions was much of an issue, and that if a hostile tone was adopted I'd acquiesce and accept that their was acceptable. Luckily for them I'll leave this review rather than making the complaint more formal

   5 days after my prescription was issued my wife was told it wasn’t quite ready yet come back later, two days later at 0930 the shop was closed due to unforeseen circumstances although there was staff working, next day I was told they are just getting it ready for me, after 10min I was told it wasn’t in stock and to contact my GP again. I understand things aren’t always in stock but why weren’t they aware of this on day 5 and not on day 8 ? Bad customer service

   Telephoned the Balerno Pharmacy and got a rude, unhelpful and at times aggressive member of staff. Complained to the head office well over a week ago was told that I would receive a call back. Chased this up several days later and again promised a call back. Well over a week now and no return call. This is the second incident resulting in a complaint, all down to staff attitude and service (or lack thereof). I see another review talking about excessive numbers of staff all chatting and yet you wait a long time for service or prescription despite it being ordered days in advance. Still await a reply from Lindsay and Gilmore head office. Avoid at all costs.

   I only gave a star so I could say this,there are eight woman,girls, in a small pharmacy clambering over each other trying to work, they had me waiting 53 minutes, now I have had to go to a new pharmacy as well as others have done, since it changed and all the new youngsters have came in it has turned into a joke I do not believe all of them have the proper training no apologies treating a patient with mental health the way they do No way should there be 9/8 woman in a tiny pharmacy working? u there is more in that pharmacy than there is inn the big boots up town no joke
